Since 2011, Naked Tiger has set the bar high for party hostels. It's set in the lush hilltops of San Juan Del Sur with one of the best views of the bay and sunsets from the pool. (Yes, we are a 5 min shuttle ride to town -- but our 180 degree views make it worth it)
Our house is a beautiful Mediterranean style villa with sweeping terraces that extend to our pool where you can enjoy a drink, relax or soak up the Nicaraguan sunshine with the best views of San Juan. The three levels from the house to the pool also provide guests with endless places to socialize and relax.
We offer free shuttles to and from town centre at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and an extra shuttle on weekends at 8pm. == shuttle service suspended during COVID-19 ===
We also offer surf/beach trips and shuttle services to other places in San Juan and Nicaragua.

Restaurant: Our bar and grill offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner options at very reasonable prices. ($2-$6) and family dinners on Saturdays and Mondays.
Bar and Grill is open Friday until Tuesday.
We offer open kitchen to guests Tuesday afternoon until Friday morning for those on a budget :)
Whenever the restaurant is closed, we can call many delicious delivery options from our partners in town.

Party Hostel
This place is the epitome of a party hostel. If that's what you're looking for, it's amazing! But if you want some peace and quiet, look elsewhere. I am always up for a good party, but I was unaware just how much party this place had. We didn't look up reviews first (our mistake) we just saw a sign for a hostel and a long dirt road that took us up the mountain. The scenery was gorgeous! Once we arrived I felt like we were in an actual paradise. The hostel itself is beautiful, with a pool overlooking the greenery and eventually the ocean, I felt like I was home. We were greeted by a staff member who informed us that they were about to take their daily "sunset shotgun" and got us all beers so we could chug with the rest of the crew on the patio. Super fun! Then we went in the pool, were served drinks from a bar hostess, then all went to a few bars down in the city with everyone staying there. Around 4am we went home and were ready to get some sleep. When we got back, a few of the staff from the hostel were still up and playing loud music and yelling. I put my earphones in to drown out the noise and fell asleep. I was promptly woken up at 6am by even louder music and even more yelling. We were happy to party, but to an extent. We were looking for at least a little sleep in order to fuel us for more travel days ahead. We were planning on staying 4 days, but after the first one we said we had to leave. The staff didn't understand why and only gave us partial refunds. Like I said, if you want to go on a bender, this is your place, but if you like to party and also sleep, I would definitely avoid it.

• Naked Tiger is located just before entering San Juan del Sur at KM marker 138. There is a sign on the road that will point you up the road to the hostel. We have a free shuttle to and from town that leaves Naked Tiger at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm. The pickup/dropoff spot is at EL SOCIAL BAR in the center of town. The shuttle returns from town 10-15 mins past the hours listed above.• Please use our free shuttle or take a taxi (100-150 cords) all the way up to Naked Tiger.
