Loco Coco Loco has a good location in a safe part of the city, excellent common spaces, and rooms that do amazing things with what they have. The win is strong with this one.
The Location
It's in a nice neighbourhood -- definitely one of the better parts of Panama City. There are plenty of restaurants and bars (mostly higher end) littering the place, with some nice little clusters of niche venues hidden down the nearby streets. However, there is nothing in the way of supermarkets outside of small, corner store mercados, so plan accordingly.
The hostel is located down a small street that is attached to one of the main streets of Panama City. Buses do run down this street, but to get access to the metro a bit more of a walk is necessary. Parking is available on the street.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Dorm rooms come in a great variety from ten- to eighteen-bed setups. Lockers are sadly lacking, but other than this the dorm rooms work fairly well with air conditioning at night, shades for the bottom beds, and two bathrooms/showers attached. Private rooms are solely double rooms with or without attached bathrooms.
The rooms are reasonably spacious and clean if in a sterile hospital kind of way. Showers and bathrooms can be a little cramped, but it's nothing unbearable and they are kept fairly clean with space and shelving to put clothes and toiletries.
Common Spaces
Common spaces are excellent, plain and simple. There is a large, well-stocked kitchen for those that are somehow able to forgo all the delicious restaurants within such easy walking distance, a dining room space with piano and book exchange with attached TV area with large, comfy couches. The outside area has a bunch of chairs and table combos with a duo of hammocks (a bit low, so heavy people -- we're guilty! -- can expect butt on grass) and a very small but agreeable aboveground pool. There is also a pool table in case you somehow don't have enough to do.
The hostel has a pretty social vibe, with guests congregating in the common areas at night to hang out and chill, but there is sufficient space to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet if that is what you are about.
Summary
This is a hostel by travelers for travelers. If only they had lockers, they'd be as perfect a hostel as you could have but alas, there are none.

Location
• The best way to get to our hostel from the airport is a taxi, it will cost between 20 and 30 dollars. You can also take the bus and go doing at multi-centro and then just walk 10 minutes or take a 2 dollars taxi to our hostel.
• In panama directions are tricky because not everyone knows the names of the streets, so to getting to our hostel you have to say the following: calle 55 este, urbanizacion san gabriel, calle sin salida en frente del soho mall entre el banco pichincha y la gasolinera delta de calle 50. Casa 4a a la izquierda con rejas azules.
• We have a safe private service to airport transportation, good price.
