Location - In the Heart of Lisbon’s Charm

Home Lisbon Hostel is perfectly located right in Lisbon’s historic center, just a few minutes’ walk from Praça do Comércio and Baixa-Chiado metro station.

Getting around was ridiculously easy — trams, metros, and buses were all nearby, and it was super walkable to major spots like Alfama and Bairro Alto.

As a female solo traveler, I felt completely comfortable walking back at night; the streets were lively but not sketchy, and the area is well-lit and filled with cute cafés and little shops.

Social Vibes - Where Strangers Become Family

The vibe at Home Lisbon Hostel is incredibly warm and welcoming. It’s social, but not party-crazy — think home-cooked dinners (literally cooked by "Mamma"), wine nights, and casual chats in the common room.

They organize nightly dinners, walking tours, and occasional pub crawls, making it super easy to bond with other travelers.

My first night, I joined one of the communal dinners and ended up planning a day trip to Sintra the next day with people I met at the table. It’s that kind of place where friendships form naturally and easily.
