Amazing place

The room is clean and big, with a little balcony, and is very safe,with door card. Common room is very nice, providing table games, chess, magazines and books, a very good place to meet backpackers. Breakfast is very nice, with fruit, yogurt, milk, tea, juice, ham, eggs, and bread. The bathroom is clean, with mirror and can be locked. Recommend this hostel.

Excellent beds, great big rooms, nice hostel but people aren't social!

The hostel itself is really well equipped with comfortable new mattresses, large rooms, clean bathrooms and a really good atmosphere overall. Unfortunately the people who stay here are not too social and I don't mean social in a party sort of way, I mean social in terms of just starting a conversation. Also the instructions on how to get to this hostel on their website are rubbish! Just take the train directly from Airport to Monastiraki and then walk all the way down Ermou (you will need to turn left on Ermou if coming from Monastiraki station main entrance). At the end of that road turn right and just as one of the locals where sari street is.

Excellent stay

The place was spic and span, with very nice owners and receptionists. Place was 5 mins walk from Monastiriaki which has a nice flea market and near Acropolis (which is where most people will go for visiting). Stayed in a 6-bed dorm that had huge beds. Only thing in the room that i felt was lacking was that the beds on the top deck did not have their own socket points to charge their electronic equipments.

"Can't wait to go back!"

We loved our stay at the city circus hostel and can't wait for our next visit. An eclectic bohemian haven in the heart of a gently gentrified hood, this place is a wonder. Brooklyn-esque quirks, brand new linen and super clean facilities would be enough, but it also has a rooftop for lazy beer drinking in the night while watching the Acropolis. The location is awesome, about 5 minutes from the old city centre (Monastiraki) but in an area full of its own little bars and cafes away from the more touristy bits. More than anything, the owner, Nondas was full of great ideas for interesting historical sights as well as outrageously cool nightspots. We spent many an hour chatting to him about Greece, partying, politics and life and he treated us like an old friend.

Beautiful, comfortable, friendly

This is a brand-spanking-new, well-built hostel. Seriously well-built. The rooms are nice -- I stayed in a room with four bunk beds, four spacious lockers, and a private (to the room) bath/shower. Breakfast is included and is delicious, made up of yogurt, honey, granola, with (almost?) every component coming from the hostel owner's mother, friend, directly to the hostel. The only drawback is that it's not in the very best part of town, but it's only a short walk from a lot of the ancient digs (ha!).
