Fantastic hostel with friendly staff and decent chill-out areas
Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and the hostel is conveniently located a short walk from the train station. A lift, garden area, secure lockers, smoking room, and great value food are the icing on the cake. More expensive than other hostels but well worth it.

Great bed and location plus free breakfast.
Good place, central location, free breakfast, and nice facilities. The Winston bar (the bar in the hostel) is top notch. You will see many locals go to it because its that good. It can be a little noisy at night with the rooms on street level.

Has everything you need
Overall the hostel was good and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Our room was clean and spacious and the complimentary breakfast was decent. I regret not taking advantage of the drink/food specials there. I ate at the bar on the main floor once and the burger I had was pretty good, although overpriced. If you use the 25% discount the cost isn't too bad.

Great Location, Great Beds
Overall for the price a better place to stay that most(hostel wise). Make sure and take advantage of drink specials and food specials and show your discount card because we forgot most of the time. The club is open late so there is always something to do and the beds are crazy comfortable for a hostel. Food is good and is 25% off. Smoking area is right out the back door, not the greatest smoke atmosphere but still good.

Great location, good food, reasonable prices
only negative thing was that I got confirmation for a 5-person dorm, but they were overbooked so I had to move to a 8-person dorm.

Great Bed
This hostel has a great bed and nice sheets to sleep in. Didn't expect this quality. Unfortunatly I was on a 8p dorm room with 2 retards making a ton of noise at 3 in the night and 8 in the morning. Also there is quite some noise in the streets. However if you are lucky you will be fine with a great breakfast, great value for money and nice bed to sleep in.

This hostel is clean, cheap, and the staff are great! It's also in the heart of the coffee shop areas and red light district. I highly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Great place! will definitely come back
I've just returned from a 4-night at the Winston ('Deluxe Double Bed Private Ensuite'). The room was spacious enough and even had a tiny balcony (just for a smoke). We had a sofa in the room & table. The bed itself was a bit soft, but it was ok to sleep in. Blanket was big enough for 2 people to sleep in easily. The bathroom & room were clean.The entire experience was really great.I was really surprised with the breakfast: 4 / 5 choices of bread, 4 cournflakes, eggs, fruits, juice,,and more ... excellent breakfast! The location is perfect (in this cool street you have: restaurants, coffee-shops, stores), only 2 minutes walk to Dam Square (transportation to everywhere in Amsterdam) and ~8 minutes walk from Centraal Station. The hostel is secured at night (you have to show your room card upon entrance at night). There's even a elevator! which is a huge bonus in Amsterdam hotels. The noise from the pub downstairs wasn't a problem on the 5th floor. The only issue was with the fact that the door of the other room was just next to our door, and you think that when your neighbour opens his door, he actually enters your room. WI-FI available only on the reception & restaurant areas. I will definitely come back to this hostel in my next Amsterdam visit. The price, location, room & breakfast are just too good to be true in Amsterdam!
