Nice place to meet people
The place is nice, the decoration is original and appropriate to the borough of Shoreditch. Very good place to hang out at night and meet some people. Warning -- some rooms are quite noisy, because these are next to the pubs. Don't hope for a quiet and silent night. I recommend this place for travelers who want to have fun! i didn't have the pleasure to meet the mice (i've been told there were some).

Great hipsterish neighborhood. Nice staff are very helpful. They let us store bags for a few days. My 6 person dorm was great. Exposed brick and bathroom en suite (ours had some mildew/standing water issues though). Great foam mattresses were very comfy. Decent breakfast w real coffee (can be hard to find in London). Recommended.

Amazing stay and in the middle of Shoreditch!!
I had an amazing stay at The Dictionary Hostel in East London. I stayed for 8 nights and came back for another 3. The staff were great and the bar was a major plus too. The rooms all have an en-suite and. The beds are brand new and super comfortable for a Hostel. And the 8 bed dorm I stayed in was quite large! It is located on a main road with lot of restaurant/bars/cafes, so there is a bit of noise. I didn't find it anything shocking but If you are a light sleeper just bring some earplugs and you will be fine. The beds had big cages to lock up your luggage underneath too. The location on Kingsland rd is the best thing really. Brick Lane is a 5 minute walk and Columbia flower Market is right around the corner. Will recommend to everyone Thanks Dictionary team!

Good Value for Money
For London it was good value, however if you are looking for a quiet nights rest you may want to try somewhere else, it is on a busy street with noisy bars, there was no air conditioning or fans in the room. I was there on one of the hottest nights of the year, which meant the windows were open all night but that meant lots of noise & traffic throughout the night, ear plugs are a must or when booking try to book a dorm room at the back of the hostel away from the main room. If you are in a hurry in the morning and book the 10 bed dorm room, you may have a long wait to get ready as there is only 1 toilet & 1 Shower room for 10 people to use! I had to wait 45 minutes before I could get to use it! The breakfast consists of just 1 Croissant or 1 Bagel with Jam or soft cheese with a choice of Coffee or Tea to go with it! I was left hungry still and went to a local cafe to get a decent sized breakfast afterwards. I wouldn't book it on the basis that it includes breakfast, its nothing substantial unless you are on a diet! Overall I would book this hostel again, it was clean & tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful! If they can rectify the above issues then it will be a 5 star review instead next time.
