Aurora and her family are wonderful hosts and lovely people.we extended our stay and stayed again on our return to Havana. Rene speaks fluent English which was great for us as my Spanish is rubbish! He even got up and took us to the airport at 3am! He gave us lots of valuable info and helped us plan our trip in Cuba and organise accommodation as Internet is scarce and slow in Cuba.our room was cleaned daily and for a small extra charge aurora prepared us a filling breakfast.

We booked to stay at Aurora's for two nights and ended up staying the whole 8 nights we had in Cuba!! The location in Vedado is fantastic, house & bed are comfortable but most of all, the hosts are wonderful people. They always had time to help you and they were full of advice about Vedado, Havana and Cuba. They can help you plan any day trips or onward travel plans anywhere in the country. Unfortunately my partner got food poisoning during our stay (definitely not from anything served at the guesthouse), however the care showed to us by Aurora and her son Rene was above and beyond the call of duty. I was sad to leave because we really were made to feel like part of the family! Highly recommended!! Muchas gracias Aurora, Nelson y Rene!!

We definitely had very good time staying at Auroras house. It is in a good neighbourhood next to John Lennons park. Aurora and her family are very nice and warm people. We didn't have any problems with the comunication as they speak English. When we arrived they gave us very useful information for our stay in Havana. The house is safe and we didn't have to carry our documents and all the money with us. If you are interested in scuba diving, just ask them :)

The house was really big and comfortable, we had a great big room for the four of us, with private bathroom as well.
We also could use the balcony, the atmosphere was nice.

This was our first place in Cuba, and Aurora, Nelson and Rene were terrific. Aurora was unbelievably considerate and caring, and Rene was really knowlegable and enthusiastic about making our stay as enjoyable as possible (both in Havana, and Cuba more generally).
The room was massive (so was breakfast, and tasty), and very light and airy. The shower was hot. The Vedado is a great part of Havana.
