Hostels in Cádiz, Spain

Cádiz is known for its long and influential history, as it is one of the oldest cities in Western Europe, with archaeological remains from the third century BC. Cádiz not only has national importance but it has also played a major role in the Punic Wars, the Romanization of Iberia, the discovery and conquest of America, and the establishment of the liberal regime in Spain with its first constitution.

Flamenco and tango festivals are held in Cádiz; it is also famous for its festivals such as the Easter Festival that has a strong following in the city. The Carnival of Cádiz is one of the most important in Spain. There are many places that deserve your attention, such as the Church of San Antonio, located on the eponymous square, the Puerta de Tierra -- an architectural monument of the stronghold of the wall leading to the city of Cadiz; the Gran Teatro Falla of Cádiz, built in the late nineteenth century; the ruins of the Roman Theater; and the salt factory from fifth century BC. And, of course, you just cannot miss the local beaches and the local restaurants.

The number of Cádiz hostels is quite large and their location is normally good, as they are located not very far from the beaches in Cádiz; at the same time, they are not very far from the center and the main city sights, either. The hostels in Cádiz have quite good conditions, with only a few exceptions. Another advantage is that you can find Cádiz hostels in almost any part of the city, even in the winter, although many hostels in Cádiz operate only in the summer season. The real problem with Cádiz hostels is almost all of them are in the high-end price range and it is not easy to find a cheap place to stay.
