• We assume you’ll be heading to our hostel from the Kualanamu International Airport (KNO). So this is your transport option :
• 1. Private Transport.
• This is obviously the most convinient way to travel. We can help you arrange the pick up and they will drop you off right at the hostel, so you don’t have to bother opening the Google Maps app from your phone. If you don’t mind sharing your space with other guests, you’ll pay even cheaper for the car. Maximum passenger is 4 person. And if you let us help you arrange this, you don't have to pay right away to the driver, we'll have that covered and will charge you afterwards.
• Price : IDR 175,000 per car (toll and parking included)
• 2. Airport Train.
• I’d suggest you to take the train IF you’re arriving early and still waiting for the check-in time. The train has only one destination, the city central, which includes a mall and a park. But if you want a more authentic getaround, check out our travel guide here. If you decided to take the train, you might have to take another ride to Semalam hostel, so make sure you either have active internet connection if you want to order Grab or Gojek. Or some cash if you’d want to take normal taxi, because they only accept cash. But actually if you don’t mind walking, it’s 2km, and according to Google Maps, it’ll take you 25 minutes to reach Semalam Boutique Hostel.
• Price : 100,000 / person + Grab / Taxi fare (estimation IDR 15,000)
• 3. Bus that’s called DAMRI
• This is the only bus in and out of the airport. It’s obviously the cheapest option, but of course the most confusing one. Even us locals can’t master this bus yet. The nearest stop to Semalam Boutique Hostel is called “Jalan Juanda”. But there’s no proper bus stop, so they’re basically stopping all along the road. Get dropped in Juanda and order grab / taxi to Semalam Boutique Hostel.
• Price : 15,000 / person + Grab / Taxi fare (estimation IDR 15,000)
• 4. Taxi / Grab
• If you’re not familiar with Grab, it’s like Uber for South East Asia. We have two applications Grab and Gojek. Both have excellent services. You just need to download the app and set your destination there to “Semalam Boutique Hostel”. It’s one of the most convinient way to get around but you will have to make sure you have internet connection or cash to be able to order their services.
• Price : 150,000-170,000 +toll and parking
