• Here are some tips for you to reach Dazhong Backpacker's Hostel from the airport :
• The cheapest way to the city is by 'Damri' bus. They depart every 15 minutes from the airport 05:00 to 23:00. The fare from the airport to Medan Fair Terminal ( Plaza) last station would be around Rp40,000 .They can drop you at Cambridge mall,walk down to Sun Plaza,from there on,find/ask around the street name called Teuku Umar,walk down toward the back of Sun Plaza Mall,the last corner street would be Muara Takus,turn right,and count about 10 building on the right hand side with the blinking running text.It is just 5 minutes walking distance to Muara Takus 28 ( within Little India village ).If you get lost,ask people around to call me @ 0822 7309 3888.
• Shortest time route ( about 45 minutes ) is taking the train from the Kualanamu International Airport to Medan with ticket fare of Rp80,000 . Once you are at the train station Medan,you could ride a three wheelers ( Becak ),the fare would run around Rp.20.000.If you have a sims card ,you could use the common application GRAB or Go-jek (similar to UBER ) for transportation.
• You could use Apps like GRAB,UBER or Gojek to call for a ride from the airport,or call for hostel
• Shuttle with the fare of Rp.200000.
• MAP ( Highly recommended )......download the app MAPS.ME for Sumatera ( since it could be used off-line ).
