• FROM BARILOCHE AIRPORT / “TENIENTE LUIS CANDELARIA” (15.5 km) -
• By Taxi: Taxis are waiting right in front of the airport. The price is currently around AR$ 450 pesos (subject to change).
• By Bus: Number 72 will bring you to Bariloche center on Calle Moreno, between Palacios and Rolando (see maps below). The trip takes 30 minutes, and leaves the airport at 7:10, 9:20, 11:10, 13:30, 15:00, 16:10, 18:20, 20:30, with the last service leaving at 22:15 (additional services on weekdays and high season; this is the more limited schedule during low season). It costs around AR$ 35 pesos (subject to change), using a blue SUBE card. If you still have a SUBE card from another city in Argentina, you can use it in Bariloche as well! If you do NOT have a SUBE card, you can ask anyone on the bus to use their card (“Tenes credito y te pago con efectivo?”) , and you can give them cash directly. It seems informal, but locals are used to this and do it all the time, and the bus driver will be patient and wait for you to find someone to help. Unfortunately, the SUBE card is NOT for sale in the airport… Once in the center, the bus driver will alert everyone that it is the final stop. You will continue walking straight down Calle Moreno, the same direction the bus is facing, for 3 blocks. Turn LEFT up Morales, then make the first RIGHT onto Juramento, a one-way alley with the bar Los Vikingos on the left side. The hostel is 50 meters on the left-hand side up stone stairs.
• FROM THE BUS TERMINAL (4.1 km) -
• By Taxi: Taxis / remises are waiting outside the bus terminal to the left. The price to the hostel is around AR$ 130 pesos (subject to change). Our address is Juramento 94.
• Walking: It is a 30 minute walk to the hostel. Head up behind the bus terminal to the main road, 12 de Octubre, and turn RIGHT. Keep going straight through the round-about, and when the street forks, take the slight LEFT up Diagonal Capraro. You should be going slightly uphill and AWAY from the lake. At the end, turn RIGHT onto Calle Moreno. Follow this for 10 blocks and then turn LEFT on Morales, as you pass the YPF petrol station. Take the first RIGHT up the one-way alley Juramento, with the bar Los Vikingos on the left side. The hostel is 50 meters on the left-hand side up the stairs.
• By Bus: City buses take the blue SUBE card (NOT CASH!). If you have one from another city in Argentina, you can use it in Bariloche as well. The ride from the Terminal to the Centre costs AR$ 25 pesos (subject to change). There is a kiosk inside the bus terminal that sells and reloads SUBE cards. You can additionally ask a local on the bus to use their card and then pay them cash. To get to the city bus stop, while facing the lake, head out of the bus terminal to the left. You will see a covered bus stop on the right-hand side. You can take any bus that says “Centro”, but we recommend the 10, 20, or 21, because they get you closer to the hostel, dropping off at “Centro Civico”, where you will need to turn LEFT on Calle Moreno, then immediately RIGHT up Calle Morales at the YPF petrol station. Any other bus drops off further back on Calle Moreno, from which you will need to head straight and turn LEFT on Calle Morales, where you will see the YPF petrol station. Take the first RIGHT up the one-way alley Juramento, with the bar Los Vikingos on the left side. The hostel is 50 meters on the left-hand side up the stairs.
