I loved it
We are on a trip after graduating university. We planned on stating 2 nights in a dorm room here, but we were upgraded to a private bungalow and loved the beach so much we stayed 3 nights! The two of us were the only ones on the beach! The resort was catering to a large group of kids, so we weren't able to eat at the restaurant within the resort, but because of the inconvenience, the owner drove me into town to buy food. They are so kind here! Use the mosquito net at night though, I was eaten alive while I slept. This was a very relaxing stop. Highly recommended! A motorbike taxi from the train station was 50 each (we over payed), but we could get into town (same distance) for 20 baht.
Beautiful resort but I wouldn't go back
The place in itself is awesome, I loved Ban-kruit. Nana Chart is a beautiful resort with lovely bungalows (some are pretty cheap, but some are very expensive too). I could meet easily other travelers there. I slept in a dormitory, the fan was extremely noisy, the toilet-shower hadn't been cleaned for four days, but almost all my money had been stolen, even if I was always alone in my dormitory! Many people had been stolen from, even in the safe lockers. Breakfasts are good but the restaurant food is not so delicious. Their pick-up service from the train station is too expensive, just get a "taxi." I wouldn't go back to that hostel. There are many others in Ban-Kruit anyway. But don't miss Ban-Kruit!
I spent 14 days there; it was relaxing and fun.
The second day there were bees in our bungalow so we had to move. In this one the sink almost broke down and fan was just a little tiny thing. Aks for a mosquito net if there's none in your room! Disliked: Only one speaks english, the others wont understand you although there are lots of international guests! Only stay here if you really need some time off! There is nothing around and if you don't have a car, the walk to ban krut town is 5km or more than one hour!
We also have an international youth hostel card but you need to buy the thailand one. Why being part of that program if you don't accept the card? After the 4 nights we would get a night free, but now theree's nothing.
The staff was, although they didn't talk English, really helpful and nice! But the manager or the one who talks english, was a bit rude when we asked her about the breakfast.
