The town is famous for its delicious seafood restaurants, its picturesque beaches, and its mountaintop temples. It is easily accessible by road, bus, or train from other popular destinations such as Bangkok or Hua Hin.
The two most popular attractions at Prachuap is the Ao Manao Beach, located just south of the town in the middle of a Thai Air Force base, and the Reclining Buddha Temple located on the top of the hill to the northern end of the town.
