I've been in this hotel in March for 2 weeks and I've been very fine on it, it is like to be at home. This hotel is in Cairo centre, near Metro, train so from there, you can go everywhere. I advise you to stay at this hotel.
Arabesque Hostel Reviews from the Web
Liked: Room was quite spacious, huge windows. The staff was nice and helpful and some could speak good english. Airport pickup was free as I stayed more than 2 nights. Sure, it is not a five star hotel, but it compensates a lot with the athmosphere, as it is a real egyptian hotel. Good deal for the money! Didn't like: The walls could be painted.
Liked: helping in fiding good hotels Didn't like: no thing
Liked: Large rooms, fridge, TV, large bathroom Didn't like: Good facilities poorly kept... had to change room before settling as Air con& Tv didn't work... next room hadn't had the floor cleaned in a while.. breakfast included was a bread roll, boiled egg and piece of cheese...
Liked: Good location, near to everything,Tahrir,E.Museum,Metro,Nile.You can get all with a short walk. Secure building, I was there during the protests and i felt comepletely safe there.Nice staff, they do everything for you if you need help abaut something.Rooms are big and clean. No preasurre to buy tours. Didn't like: A bit noisy from outside road
The a/c did not work and the staff were not helpful even though we had children and told us we had to manage. the beds were awfull -just wooden boxes with spoilt matteresses. the room was not ready when we arrived we had to wait approx. 2 hours for the room. Even though the place looks neat and the commom sitting place looks clean it has no warmth. the staff except for the lady in the reception were very cold and were very unapproachable. the owner or partner of the place hangs around and is not welcoming - grumpy and cold. we thought we will spend a week at this place but changed our mindes because of the unwelcoming behaviour of the people at this place. as a family I would not like to go back there.
Basic, clean room with private bathroom, TV, cable and fridge. Hotel is well situated right next to the shops, bars and restaurants of Downtown (my favourite part of town) and withing easy walking distance (15 mins) of Zamalek.
Staff are awesome! Very friendly and nothing was a problem!
