• Otherwise, Casa Mauro is a 10-minute walk from the Moyogalpa harbor. A Tuktuk ride costs approximately 50 Córdoba.
• To ensure a relaxed arrival, we've prepared some information for your journey:
• We recommend traveling via Rivas to San Jorge by bus or taxi. From San Jorge, you can then take the ferry to Moyogalpa (Ometepe).
• RIVAS-SAN JORGE: Buses from Rivas to San Jorge depart every 30 minutes from the "Terminal de Buses de Rivas," priced at 10 Córdoba per ticket. A shared taxi costs 30 Córdoba per person, while a private taxi costs 200 Córdoba. Please note, there are no buses on Sundays, and shared taxis are rare. Therefore, you'd need to take a taxi on Sundays.
• SAN JORGE: If you're approached about renting a car or scooter at the harbor, please be aware that we do not collaborate with any of the providers in San Jorge.
• SAN JORGE – OMETEPE: At the harbor, you might need to pay a foreigner tax of 1 USD (also payable in Córdoba). The ferry ticket costs 50 Córdoba.
• The ferry operates at the following times: 07:00, 07:45, 08:30, 09:00, 10:30, 11:00, 12:00, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30, 16:00, 17:00, 17:45. We recommend arriving approximately 30 minutes beforehand, as there tends to be high demand. If the next ferry is full, you'll need to catch the following one.
