The Passenger Hostel Reviews

Amazing stay, great vibes, beautiful rooms, nice bar open late, NO AC!

I loved the place, my only complaint is no ac and just a small fan in the dorm bed that doesn't angle down, but just moves the hot air around above you :)

Unique experience

The hostel and the staff are awesome. Very relaxed vibe in a unique setting right in the historic train station. Impressive building with super high ceilings and a great breakfast. Perfect location to explore the centre of Porto, you are right where everything happens. Bar street a 5min walk, the river with the wineries 10min walking. No need to use any transport.

Incredible 5 Star Hostel!

The Passenger Hostel can easily compete with any 4-5 Star Hotel! The Quality is outstanding. We stayed at their Private Apartment in 1st Floor and it felt like a Luxury Hotel. Backpackers and Female Solo Travelers, this is your place to be! No wonder it is a 5 Star Awarded Hostel.

The Passenger Hostel Reviews from the Web

this hostel was such a vibe in terms of decor and style, with high ceilings a nice breakfast area. the staff was nice and the location in teh city is super central.

but if you are staying during a weekend evening be warned it can be VERY noisy. I had a single room and felt like there was a party right next door and had a hard time sleeping, even with the earplugs they provided.

This is the coolest hostel I have ever stayed in! Loved it!

The woman who checked me in after a long flight was not the most personable or friendly. However, the rest of the staff was sweet. The facilities are clean. I love the curtains on the bunk bed and the wristband key.

I love the community hang out places. The events are also full of energy!

Stay was less than 10hrs so really somewhere to get my head down. Didn't use any facilities so can't comment. Great stay however was quite noisy til about 2am with people coming back. Love the whole digital experience which made it feel secure compared to other hostels I've stayed in

Good hostel! The only thing I did notice tho is that the common areas feel so big which kinda makes it a little harder to socialize right away. Besides that good staff, amazing location and amazing activities by the hostel. Had a great stay!

one of my favorite hostels ive stayed at. loved it! only thing is noisy sometimes at night from the bar across the hostel but thats typical in a city anywhere so I think it would happen at most places...rooms were clean, bathrooms were nice and had separate bathrooms and separate shower areas for girls/guys. huge common areas, perfect location, it was great! highly recommend.

Fantastic hostel - would recommend it to anyone. The hostel is within a beautiful train station in the middle of Porto. The staff were very nice and there was an army of cleaners every morning. There is a really cool communal space upstairs. The bathrooms are beautiful. The most beautiful hostel I have ever stayed in. 10/10 would stay here again.

Amazing kitchen. The location couldn't be any more convenient, it is in the middle of the city/in the train station. Bathrooms and dorms exceptionally clean. They did offer activities every day but, for whatever reason, the vibe was very subdued and I rarely saw people meeting/hanging out. Nice place to go if you want a chill, relaxing stay though.

Such a nice hostel and great value for money. It is in the perfect location, didnt even mind the construction going on outside, it was too lovely.

Location is amazing, you can walk most of attractions on foot. Staffs were super kind and helpful. Hot shower, great breakfast and cozy common area. One thing I didnt like will be location too. Its too loud outside I hardly slept. I was in a dorm for 8 people, I wish therere more space between beds and lockers. If somebody uses locker, they can see through the lower beds, the curtains didnt cover whole area.

Great hostel!

Amazing people and vibe!!!

The hostel is really nice, really safe and the location is the best one in the city!

The breakfast is amazing., and the stuff really helpful.

We did not make much friends, but they had activities to meet other people.

The only bad thing is the triplee bunk bed and at night is really hot with no AC, and we had a guy in our room in his 40s who was only in boxers all the time, made us feel really unconfortable.

Very clean, friendly staff, common areas are INCREDIBLE, breakfast was really good, full of options and many social activities to meet people. The only bad thing is triple bunk bed, in the top one is hot and also would be better with an age restriction

The Hostel is very clean and everything feels really new.

I didnt get to experience the place that much because of a really short stay.

It felt really calm and quiet but there was also things to do if you want to have fun at night.

Amazing place to stay, being inside the train station is so unique! Heaps of history just outside the door. Surprisingly quite considering its a busy area.

the staff are lovely! there are activities every night which is great to interact with other guests especially for solo travellers. The hostel is in a great location and the rooms/reception/common areas are very nice. Well worth the money!

Got quite sick staying here on The 3rd bunk there's no air-conditioning or ventilation so if you get the 3rd bunk I'd probably pay 5x the amount to stay at a hotel down the road instead because at this altitude it's hot &stuffy, I only had to climb down to see the windows weeping in the morning from 8 people breathing and got really sick staying as a result. retrofitting air con to a heritage building could be challenging however they could easy ventilate the room by cutting into the windows

Awesome hostel! Wonderful location and really nice bathrooms. The breakfast is great.

(Black traveller) they are so kind and welcoming! Its high tech here and super easy to get around the city its in the centre of everything. I would stay here a week. Big lockers/ clean washrooms late night security. Key fob entrance and most important welcoming to BIPOC. This is top tier and I highly recommend you go! They have events each night but with tours idk because I booked outside but this is a great place to stay

Wow. This hostel is in a prime location with excellent activities, wonderful amenities, and an even better atmosphere. We adored the staff and we especially loved Bella, who was just cool, knowledgeable, friendly, and always full of great recommendations. 10/10 would recommend (also, take the walking tour!!)
