Spanish Friends is a modern building not far away from the city center of Sucre (Bolivia). The owner offers Spanish lessons for foreigners. The hostel has different programs. The check-out is at 10 a.m., and if you want to use the common areas after this time you have to pay a fee; this could be a problem if you need to wait for the bus.
The Location
The hostel is located near the Monastery de la Recoleta, the main viewpoint of Sucre. It also is not far away from the city center and is fifteen minutes away from the main market. To get to the hostel, you have to make an effort because it's located on the way of a hill.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel hasn't got many rooms, but you can find different types and choose which one is the best for you. There's a five-bed female dorm room and a five-bed mixed dorm room, if you want to share the room. If you want a private room, there are three of this type. The mattresses are really comfortable and there are lockers next to the biggest bathroom. In the dorm rooms, there are individual electric sockets for all the guests. All the rooms have shared bathrooms. There are two bathrooms on the first floor, both of which are equipped with an electric shower (that provides hot water), a toilet, and a sink. On the second floor, there is another bathroom with the same equipment as the others.
Common Spaces
The reception is on the ground floor and there are two rooms used for the Spanish lessons. On the second floor are the living room and the dining room (with sofas and TV) in the same space. Next to these, there's a big terrace where you can chill on the sunny days, and a little kitchen that's not well equipped but is enough to cook simple meals. There's a box where you can take or leave clothes.
Summary
It is a good place to stay one or two nights, but not more because the atmosphere is not cozy. The building is modern and well maintained but is cold during day and night because it hasn't got a good orientation. The breakfast is included in the price and you can store your luggage without any charge.

The Hostel is located 15 minutes' walk from the bus station. You have to take the buses from the Plaza 25 de Mayo (main square). The airport of Sucre is at 30 minutes from the hostel and you need to take a taxi or bus to the Plaza 25 de Mayo.
