Color's House Sucre is very conveniently located in Sucre. It is a large and well-known hostel that many taxi drivers can locate easily. Staff are friendly and helpful, but are not always locatable for assistance. This hostel also doubles as a Spanish school, but there are also a lot of other Spanish classes options available all around the city.
The Location
The touristic area of Sucre is very small and easily managable by foot. Color's House is located in a prime location. It is less than a kilometre away from the main plaza, Plaza 25 De Mayo. Museums, tourist attractions, the local market, restaurants, shops, and banks are all very closely located to the hostal too.
However, even though Sucre is the capital of Bolivia, it is still a fairly sleepy city. Many of the tourist attractions are closed on Mondays and many shops and restaurants are closed on Sundays.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Color's House is located on the second floor of the building. On the first floor is a restaurant with an open courtyard in the middle of the building. The hostal has a lovely feel to it, where rooms and bathrooms all encircle an open courtyard in the middle of the building.
There are mixed-gender dormitory rooms and private rooms available at this hostel. The dormitory rooms range from six to ten beds per room. The rooms are spacious enough, even when they are fully occupied, but some of the dormitory rooms are designed in a weird way. There is one dormitory room that can only be accessed through another dormitory room.
Since the dormitory rooms doors are always open and people can freely walk in and out of it, security can be an issue. There are several lockers available in the reception room, but not enough if everyone wants one. The rooms also have poor lighting and have very limited access to power plugs.
The bathrooms are all communal and are small and cramped and can really use a deep clean. The shower stalls have hooks for clothing on the inside of the shower. This would be ok if the shower stalls were large enough, but they are really small and cramped too, making it nearly impossible to keep your clothes dry when showering.
Common Spaces
Since the courtyard in the middle of the building takes up a lot of space, there is not a lot of common space in which visitors can relax. There are small tables and chairs surrounding the balcony of the courtyard, but these are not meant for more than two or three people at a time. In the reception area, there is a table guests can use. This is a fairly busy hostal, and in the evenings it can feel rather cramped with the lack of common space in which guests can spread out.
Summary
Color's House is a well-located hostal. It is close to a lot of restaurants, bars, and attractions, but the tiny, cramped, and dirty bathrooms and bedrooms, along with the limited common space, make it rather difficult to enjoy and relax at this hostal.

Location and Contact
Location
• - From the Bus Station, you can take a taxi straight to the hostel in the corner of Dalence and Nicolas Ortiz St., or the micro buses (A, H or 3) up to the main square, Plaza 25 de Mayo. From there, you will be 1 block away of our Colors House. -
• The International airport is 35 kilometer away from the city, in a taxi it would take around 40 minutes. We can arrange your pick up or departure for you. You can also take the mini buses to/from the airport. You can take them from Gregorio Donoso Av. just 10 minutes away from the hostel by car. And in the way down will be easy to find them outside the airport and they will leave you in the same Av. - If you get to the main square in a bus or taxi just find the clock tower and then follow Nicolas Street one block to Dalence street and you will find the Colors House right in the corner. you can recognise it because of its beautiful colonial balconies.
