Hostel Colonial Reviews from the Web

I dont normally stay in a place when it doesnt have many reviews but it was close to the hotel I stayed in the night before! If only I had known what comfortable beds Hostel Colonial had, as I would have went straight there and skipped the hotel!! Stayed in a 5 dorm and there was only 2 of us. The staff couldnt be more helpful and the breakfast, although basic, was an added plus to add to the value of this place.

Future tip: Would be great if they had some place to hang clothes when getting into the sh

Amazing helpful staff, well-equipped kitchen, clean rooms and great location. One of the best hostels i've ever been to.

Wonderful place, Lucas took time to help me along twith my spanish! Very kind!

Good location, value for money, helpful staff and value for money in terms of the 28 pesos we paid via hostelbookers. We stayed one extra night after checking in that we hadnt booked online, assuming it would be at the same rate and were charged a lot more, so if you stay longer just rebook online! Owner wasn{t that nice when we tried to argue our point. Kitchen was very small but its very close to the centre so I cant hold it against them. Generally pretty good for 28 pesos, but not worth the 42 pesos they charge if you turn up on the spot.

this a very well located hostel, just in down town so is pretty easy to go everywhere. Is very cheap, but not very funny. However that gave us free pass to some very nice clubs!!

in the center of the center comercial area. Average service, waked up by noise of traffice over the night.

very good hostel, one bad point: you can't bring your own beer, you have to buy it there which is more expensive and they don't propose a big choice. Except that excellent location and staff

Very Clean. One lady was cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms all the time.

Very good breakfast. Croissants, Corn Flakes and Milk. Almost all day long.

Very Good location. In the middle of the center.

But: Small tiny, bad equipped kitchen. The kitchen was also the only place inside the building were it was allowed to smoke. It is pretty anoying when people smoke around you while you prepar your food.

The hole place was just too small for so many beds. Overcrowded lounge area.

You could use the Interent only for 20 minutes at a time, too avoid long waiting for others, what is actually good, but the connection was so slow that it took me 8 min just to open my email account.

I was in a 8 bed dorm but there were just 5 lockers in the room!

But the worst thing in my opinion is, that it seems that they have to different prices. 28,- Pesos for a dorm for people that book in the Internet and 42,- Pesos for people you just come to the hostel. That isnt fair.

Nice place near to the downtown

convenient to the city centre
