• Melbourne Metro YHA backpackers hostel is located in leafy North Melbourne on 78 Howard Street, North Melbourne, Victoria 3051.
• To get to the hostel:
• Bus & Train:2.3 km from Southern Cross Station and the Skybus terminal. From Southern Cross (Spencer St) Station go 400 metres east along Bourke St to William St and catch tram 55 heading North. Get off at stop 11, walk 200 metres west on Queensberry St and turn right into Howard St
• Plane:
• Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) - 26 km: SkyBus to city $18 (runs 24 hours) with free transfer to hostel during day-time (check with driver). Tickets available from hostel reception, online or at Tullamarine airport. Alternatively a Taxi is approximately $48 to the hostel
• Avalon Airport - 61km: Bus service runs between Avalon and Franklin Street Terminal for only $20 for adults and $9.50 for children (4-14yrs)
• By car: Melways ref: 2B A10
• By tram from the city: From Elizabeth Street, city catch Tram no 57, to stop 11 (Cnr Howard & Victoria Sts) turn right and walk up Howard St, cross over Queensberry St and the hostel entrance is 50 metres on your right
