Located in the surrounding area of the train station, Ostello We_Bologna, this new hostel, is a home for tourists and regular students.
The Location
The hostel is situated northwest of the train station, about ten minutes’ walk away. The centre is in the opposite direction of the train station, so it takes additional fifteen minutes to get to the very centre of the city. The hostel is quiet close to some train tracks, but we could not hear any noise. Next to the hostel there are some residential houses; the nearest shops are near the train station.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are clean; in our case, ours came with an en suite bathroom. All the facilities are new, working, and of good quality. The bathroom includes a toilet, a shower, a sink, and a bidet. You have a locker box for every bed to store your bag in the room (you need to bring a lock, though). Additionally they have equipped the room with a really long, spacious hanger, which is enough for all kinds of clothes. The bunk beds are made of metal but they're not shaky or of poor quality. You have a socket next to your bed to charge your phone. A shelf over the bed helps you to store important belongings such as your wallet. The power in the room works only if you insert your magnetic card in the slot at the door. This magnet card opens the door of your room as well. On the ground floor, there is a reception that is open twenty-four hours, so it feels more like a hotel. The building complex has also a part for regular students; they share some of the facilities such as the kitchen and have extra rooms to study.
Common Spaces
There are various kind of common spaces. On the ground level, there is a coffee bar with some cosy seating options and bookshelves. There you can order coffee, drinks, and snacks. Breakfast is offered, but it is not included in the regular price. The whole building offers free Wi-Fi, which works very well in the common areas and inside the room. On the lower level, you have the laundry room, the kitchen, and some additional rooms such as a study room. The kitchen is very large and offers all the equipment to prepare a meal. Moreover, there is a vending machine with some snacks and drinks. On a Saturday night, the kitchen is very vivid with a lot of people and apparently students having a nice dinner and some drinks. The staff are friendly and try to help with information about the facilities and sights in the city. There is an additional luggage room, where you can leave your baggage after the checkout if you still want to have another nice afternoon in the city centre without your backpack. The luggage room is locked with a key that you can pick up at the reception.
Summary
The hostel facilities are of good quality, functional, clean, and modern. The location is a bit far from the centre but opening a new hostel of this size right in the centre is just not possible in a city like Bologna. Apart from that little negative aspect, we can definitely recommend this hostel. It is very good value for money.

Description
The Combo Bologna is in the center of Bologna, where easy access to all points of interest. The hostel is modern, comfortable, clean, economical and with an international atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help.
There are two types of rooms: double or quadruple, all with private bathroom and air conditioning. The quadruple rooms are all mobbed with table and chairs, lockers which are available on request. The double rooms have two single beds, a table with chair, refrigerator and a tea kettle.
In terms of common areas, the Hostel has a kitchen (modern and very well equipped), a rest area, a games room and video. In addition there is a large garden with chairs, tables and space for barbecues.
Breakfast at Combo Bologna is based on fresh produce and there is the possibility of gluten-free or lactose-free products on request.
Located a short distance from Bologna Centrale train station, a quick walk from the historic center and the university. There is a wide variety of bars, shops and restaurants in the vicinity of the hostel.

• From the Central railway station of Bologna, follow the signs for the Bolognina-Via de Carracci exit.
• Once outside, turn left on Via de Carracci, go as far as the railway crossing, turn right, after 300 metres you will see We_Bologna on the left.
• By plane:
• From the airport of Bologna Guglielmo Marconi, take a taxi or the BLQ shuttle bus. Get off at the “Stazione centrale stop.
• Take the station underpass and follow the signs for the Bolognina-Via de Carracci exit.
• Once outside, turn left on Via de Carracci, go as far as the railway crossing, turn right, after 300 metres you will see We_Bologna on the left.
• By car:
• Recommended motorway exits A1: Bologna Casalecchio A13: Bologna Arcoveggio A14: Bologna San Lazzaro.
• From the Bologna ring road, take exit no. 6 (Corticella Castel Maggiore). Follow the signs for Å“Bologna Centro/Stazione Centrale
