Blanco Beach Bar is situated in a perfect location, right on top of the beach. It is a party hostel, so not suitable for people who are looking for a quiet, relaxing evening as loud music plays every night.
The Location
From the pier where the ferries arrive, it is a short ten-minute walk across the island to the other side to where Blanco Beach Bar is. The entrance to Blanco Beach Bar is reached by the beach so is perfectly located to sunbathe and swim in the sea. All the beach/pool parties are also just seconds' walk away from the hostel, with fire dancers performing every night and various games going on. To find the main restaurants and bars, walk a couple of minutes back into Phi Phi Town, and many options catering to all tastes are available.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The eight-bed dorm room is extremely nice. The room itself is very spacious with lockers provided (no padlocks) and it is also equipped with an en suite shower and toilet. The shower is hot and Wi-Fi is very good in the room. Inevitably, being on top of the beach, sand collects in the room; this is of no fault to the hostel however and they come in to clean the room of sand every day. The music playing outside is turned off abruptly at 2 a.m., so a quiet night in is not possible, as it can easily be heard and vibrates the room. The shared bathrooms and toilets for the ten-bed dorms look to be of a slightly worse quality than the en suite facilities in the eight-bed dorm -- the lights are quite dim and a couple of the locks look fragile at best, although they still appear to be clean.
Common Spaces
The hostel has a large bar at the front where guests are provided with wristbands for discounted drinks. The bar itself doesn’t get too busy, as everyone is out the front of the bar, on the beach outside the hostel. Here, Blanco Beach Bar has cushions and benches for lying/sitting on during the day, and by nighttime there are beer-pong tables, face painting, and a stage where skipping and limbo take place to earn free shots all night (it’s not on fire, like the full moon party, so it's not dangerous!). It is an excellent area to meet and chat with new people, as a lot of people from other hostels also end up here as well.
Summary
This is an excellent hostel if your sole purpose is to sunbathe in the day and party all night in the evening. It is very well maintained and clean, especially considering the amount of sand people bring in; it's a superb way to spend your time on Phi Phi. If you are looking for somewhere away from loud music and drunk people, however, this certainly isn’t the right hostel for you.

Location and Contact
Location
To get to Koh Phi Phi, take a Ferry boat from the Rassada pier in Phuket Town or from the Klong Jirad pier in Krabi town. There are also some smaller ferry's from Ao nang beach in Krabi and from Koh Lanta. You will arrive at Tonsai pier in Koh Phi Phi. From the pier walk straight ahead down the road (straight ahead when you exit the pier) and walk down that road until you arrive at the beach, this is Loh Dalam Bay. Turn right and walk along the beach until you arrive at Blanco, we are located just after Stones Bar. There are no Cars or Motorbikes on the island so the only option is walking. There are some taxi carts at the pier, who can be hired to carry your bags on a wheeled cart, if you have a large amount of luggage.
