• FROM TERMINI STATION:
• La Controra Hostel is located in Via Umbria 7, within 10 minutes walk from Termini Station, or 3 minutes from the Repubblica metro stop (1 stop from Termini).
• Exit the main doors of the station, walking past the city buses, and go straight towards Piazza Della Republica, a roundabout with a large fountain.
• Keep going straight (do not go down the hill!) until you reach “Fontana dell’acqua felice” (the fountain with Moses and the four lions), which will be on your right.
• Look in front of you: you will see a big sign on the top of a building saying CARIGE. Via Umbria is the first road on the right side of that building, and behind the American Embassy (you can take it as a reference).
• La Controra entrance is on the right-hand side of via Umbria - there is a sign on the wall.
• Please, ring the doorbell!
• FROM FIUMICINO-LEONARDO DA VINCI AIRPORT (FCO)
• Follow the signs for “AI TRENI”. At the platform, buy a ticket for the non-stop train Leonardo Express to Termini Station (14 Euros).
• You can buy tickets from either the ticket window, the vending machines or the tobacco store near the tracks.
• Once arrived at Termini Station, follow the directions as mentioned above.
• You can also take a taxi. The cost is 48 Euros (fixed rate set by the City of Rome).
• FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT (CIA)
• Take a Bus Shuttle for Termini Station. There are several companies operating, like Sit Bus Shuttle and Terravision. The ticket costs 5-6 Euros.
• Once arrived at Termini Station, follow the directions as mentioned above.
• You can also take a taxi. The cost is 30 Euros (fixed rate set by the City of Rome).
