Baroque Hostel Reviews

Description

Among hostels in Budapest, Baroque Hostel makes effort offering antique atmosphere besides its kind services. The baroque style of the building also contributes to this feeling where a baron family lived for about 50 years. For now this flat serves our guests in order to experience how noble family used to lived in Budapest.

Our hostel is located in the heart of the city nearby the town park and more sights of Budapest within a walking distance. The Hero's Square, The Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Gallery are 5 minutes by walk, but the Zoo, the famous Szechenyi Thermal Bath, Amusement Park and the Skating Rink are also in this area.

Who loves the fancy articles must prefer the really unique junk market with a wide range of goods is only two trolley bus stops from the hostel.

The hostel has just been rebuilt with double rooms are renovated loft ones as well as you are also welcome in 4, 8 and 10 bedded rooms. We took care of all the details and want to offer that quality we would also expect abroad after a tiring trip, so do not be surprised if you experience hotel quality for hostel price with a youthful feeling.

In Baroque Hostel the baroque style meets the minimalist design, if someone likes the spectacular solutions and environment and wants to be accommodated without traffic noise, you must try us! A garden also belongs to the building.

Location and Contact

Location

• Directions:

• From Nyugati pu railway station (Western Railway Station):
• Take the tram number 4 or 6 in direction to Fehérvári út-Móricz Zsigmond körtér and get off at the second stop, 'Király utca'. Here take the trolley-bus (electric bus) number 70 in direction to Erzsébet királyné útja and get off at the 5.stop Dózsa György street. Go across the street and ring the bell at 14. Dózsa György street.
• From the International Bus Station 'Népliget':
• Take the tram number 1 or 1A in direction to 'Bécsi út' and get off at the 9.stop at 'Erzsébet királyné útja'. Here take the trolley-bus (electric bus) number 70 and get off at the 4.stop at Dózsa György street. Ring the bell at 14. Dózsa György street.
• From the Ferihegy Airport:
• By taxi: This is the best way if you are two or more, but do not take the Tourist Taxi co.'s cars or any private taxi, they are very expensive. All you need to do is to order by phone a taxi on 2000000. They charge 3.600 HUF (aprox. 15 euros) per a trip to anywhere in the Pest side of the city. In Hungary it is customary to give a 10% tip to the taxi driver, but you are not obliged to do so if you do not wish. The taxi operators speak English. Tell them exactly in which terminal you are and where you will wait for the cab -normally outside- so that the driver will easily find you. All the public taxis have printed in big characters their phone numbers on both sides of the doors, making it easier to recognize them.
• By public transportation:
• -by train: if you are in the Terminal 1, you can go by train from the train station which is opposite to the Terminal. It costs 300Ft for 2.nd class (1,3 euros) to the Nyugati pu (Western Railway Station) and it takes about 20 minutes. From there you can follow our instructions above.
• -by bus: if you want to go by bus (from both Terminal 1 and 2) you need to buy 2 tickets first (one for the bus and one for the metro) from the ticket's machine at the bus stop or inside the airport bus. Take the bus to the last stop (Köbánya-Kispest) -which is also the last stop of the blue metro line (M3). Then punch the 2nd ticket before you board the metro.
• Take off at Nyugati pu and from here you can follow our instructions above.
• NOTE: The metro service runs from 04.30 to 23.10 hours every day.
• By airport minibus: You can take the Airport Minibus -which is cheaper than a taxi if you are alone. The fee is 2.990 HUF for 1 people, for 2 people it costs 4.490 HUF.
• WARNING! In Budapest you need to punch a new ticket every time you change metro lines, buses or trams, so risk of getting a fine. On the lines M2 and M3 the ticket is valid one hour if you travel to the same direction. On the M1 line the ticket is valid 30 minutes. A ticket costs 270 HUF (aprox. 1,2 euros).
