Motel DuBeau Travelers Inn & Hostel Reviews

Exceeded my expectations!

Recently used the Dubeau Hostel as my base for a five day visit to Arizona. Having never stayed at a hostel before I wasn't sure what to expect.I must say it exceeded my expectations completely! All the comforts of home, amazing staff a good location. Even a guided tour below the Rim at Grand Canyon by Louie, Awesome! Will certainly consider returning there someday for a trip all the way to the bottom of the Canyon. Thanks again everyone for your hospitality!!

I worked in the National Forest 2 hours outside of Flagstaff and came to this hostel (as well as the Grand Canyon Hostel) on my weekend breaks every two weeks. The staff are amazing! They are always friendly and helpful! They even have bought kegs multiple times for the hostel guests. The hostel itself is very clean and well kept. There are two full sized kitchens stocked with ingredients, utensils and pots and pans, which is wonderful. Also the location can't be beat. It is very close to all the bars and good restaurants. I love this hostel and am sorry I no longer work near it.

Way back when!

Stayed here with my Mum (Gina) after losing Dad way back in 1993? thought I'd surprise Heather a close friend who worked at DuBeau at the time. The surprise visit fell flat on it's face as she was in Chicago visiting family! Well, the whole stay was like being with a new adopted family and the day trips more than I thought they'd be for such a cheap fee. Still have fond memories and hope to visit again one day.

Amazing Energy!

This is quite possibly my favorite hostel anywhere in the world. I have done significant travelling around Europe and the people, place and energy is amazing here. I absolutely loved my stay at the DuBeau so much i didn't want to leave. the GC hostel (there sister hostel) is also amazing!! and the staff is great!

I have stayed a many hostels around America and this is one of the best I have been to due to the fact that it was cheaper, gave you free breakfast, a pool table, foozball, and was very close to the train station. They also will pick you up and drop you off at the Greyhound station if you need. They offered very cheap and in depth tours of Sedona and the Grand Canyon, which were excellent. The rooms were clean and were not very packed out when I was there. There is parking if you have a car. Flagstaff is a fun little town and the Hostel in in the Hub of it all. There is a bathroom in every room and each dorm room houses eight people. It was close to the train line so you will hear the train!

Well, staying here depends on your personality. If you're the introverted type that likes peace and quiet, you may not like it here.

But if you're a party animal, this hostel is tailor-made for party animals. Yes, it can get wild, but you can also learn so much from interacting with all the other cultures there.

The hostel itself is quite nice. No bugs and very clean.

Great location near downtown Flagstaff. The train going past can get noisy, but the dorms have en suite bathrooms and even their own little fridges. Staff are fantastic and go out of their way to be accommodating. The tours organized and run by the hostel are good value for money and Michael, one of the tour guides, is knowledgeable about flora and fauna and the geology. I had a wonderful time, thanks, guys!

Very nice hostel, with friendly and helpful staff. Great location in downtown Flagstaff. However be sure to bring your earplugs, as the hostel is about a block from a busy railroad line.

"Get your kicks" at the DuBeau Route 66 International Hostel, the oldest hostel in Arizona. This fun and friendly place has been recognized by the "Let's Go" guide as being "one of the very best"! It's centrally located in downtown Flagstaff close to pubs, shopping, restaurants and town square. The super friendly, international staff is ready and willing to assist guests, making sure each one enjoys their stay, and the festive atmosphere makes everyone very happy!.

This cool hostel has been completely renovated 1950's style; its retro decor is Americana all the way! You'll love the classic hostel car, "Pinky", a 1963 Mercury Monterey. Amenities include an old fashioned party room with jukebox and FREE pool and foosball tables, a non-smoking lounge with fireplace, laundry facilities, 2 kitchens and high speed internet. Everything is sparkling clean and each room has a new bathroom. The rates include a FREE tasty breakfast and fresh linen, and coffee and tea are always available.

Other services include FREE transport to/from the Greyhound station between 7 am & midnight, and Amtrak is only 1/2 block away. Awesome tours to the Grand Canyon and Sedona, led by friendly and knowledgeable guides, are also offered. These affordable, full day excursions are definately the best deals in town!

Check this hostel out, you won't be dissappointed. See you there!
