• In working days, between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM, Avenida Niemeyer is open only in the direction Barra-Zona Sul. In other words: to get to Vidigal by car from Leblon, you have to take a small detour through Gávea, taking the tunnel Zuzu Angel and, arriving in Rocinha, enter Avenida Niemeyer from Sao Conrado access.
• By taxi:
• - From Galeao International Airport: about 70 BRL
• - From Santos Dumont Airport: about 50 BRL
• - From Novo Rio bus terminal: about 50 BRL
• By Special Bus:
• - With 13 BRL you can take a special bus Number 2018, with air conditioning and comfortable seats, leaving from the Galeao International Airport, passing by the Novo Rio bus terminal as well as by the Santos Dumont Airport. http://www.premiumautoonibus.com.br/itinerarios. Please keep in mind the Avenida Niemeyer is open only in the direction Barra-Zona Sul in working days between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
• At Vidigal:
• - When arriving at Vidigal, you will find some possibilities to go up to our hostel. You may choose to go up by taxi, by van or by moto-taxi. Taxi or van should be preferable when carrying heavy luggage. You should drop-off at the stop known as “Biroscão”. When you arrive there, you will see the signs indicating the access to Varandas do Vidigal. Do not forget to consult the map!
