Very Friendly and has a homelike feel I liked the fact that the hostel wasn't huge because it gives you a chance to meet people. Because you know everyone you felt safe leaving your stuff around and know that nothing would be taken (though I'm not advocating it, because you never know) but the few times I forgot about my stuff, everything was there. I loved the free internet, the great location, clean beds, and the helpful staff. It really felt like you were at home. I was lucky enough to be upgraded from a six-bed room to a private room for no extra charge! They made a mistake but it was still a sweet deal for me! If you feel like staying longer and they don't have any room in their hostel they will help you find accommodation elsewhere. This is my second time coming to this hostel and I remember last year someone needed to go to the dentist and the owners of the hostel found him a great dentist. As you can see I liked it so much that I came back a second time. Star Hostel is more of a place that you party until about 11 p.m. and then go out and see Belgrade's nightlife. — Tanja , USA (2008-08-22) I'm thrilled! One of the best hostels I've seen! I like to go out and know that when I come home at 1 in the morning I will be able to get to sleep -- but I know everyone is different. It is a good hostel. The brothers who run it are really friendly and helpful. The internet is free (but slow). The hostel has a good location. The bathroom, toilets, and dorms are not dirty but they have a lived in feel to them. It is good value for money -- very cheap. You will have a lot of fun but not get a lot of sleep. I stayed almost ten days and found it difficult to leave cause, from the moment I arrived, I felt really welcomed and it was like my 'home away from home.' George and his brother Marko were very helpful and informative -- always ready to provide me with the necessary information in relation to a variety of different travel needs. I really loved the feel of the place and the lovely stylish surroundings and it's situated right in the heart of Belgrade, which then makes exploring this city oh so very easy. There is music to download, all the travel advice you need, free internet, super relaxed atmosphere, spacious rooms, and unbeatable location a block from the pedestrian walkway and the park. The common area is a bit small, but it just made for an easier time getting to know fellow travelers. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome, as friend who just came back from a long trip. Instantly offered with coffee, tea, joining a chat, and hearing everything you need to know about the city, on which the guys who run the place are knowledgeable. The rooms are spacious, beds new, and best bathroom tiles ever. Location is superb, next to the bestest thing you need to visit in Belgrade, the citadel. Thats this huge park, which represents the history of Belgrade, and needs to be visited more then once. The common room is the only place smoking is allowed in and is completely separated from the dorms so there is almost no noise coming in from it. Its airconditioned, which realy helped me out wile i was here, there is free highspeed internet, lots of good music on cpu, soooo many movies. and what else can i say i loved it!
