Does not look good
i have not been inside this "hostel," but i suggest travelers not stay here. it looks more like a rooming/flophouse than a place young people should stay when they are visiting toronto for the first time. the front porch is full of junk and it's a long walk to little italy.

Great place, I stay there sometimes. John the owner is a great human being. Recommended highly.

It was a great place. It is where I met my future wife. The staff were very helpful. Thanks John, Laire.

It was passable, and served its purpose.

It was ok, it served a purpose. It's just a place to rest, nothing more.

This was by far the grossest, filthiest hostel I've ever stayed in. It felt unsafe (the lock on our door had been busted out and then replaced). Every other person who stayed there was super creepy. There were bugs in our room and the mattresses were so disgusting we couldn't sleep. There was no fan or air conditioning and it felt really unsafe to open the windows. We were so grossed out after a night here we made reservations at another hostel sight unseen first thing the next morning. I urge any person thinking about staying here to consider sleeping in their car first. Yuck.

I've been there twice, and I found the atmosphere cozy and comfortable--and the management were very helpful.

The hostel was nice. The people were interesting and very friendly. I'd definitely recommend it to backpackers.

It was filthy, there was no security, anybody could walk in, and did. The staff (all one of them) used to go missing for hours on end. Anybody could come and go as they pleased.
