Excellent

Had no major issues with the hostel. Considering the relatively cheap price of the room, the cleanliness, welcoming nature of staff, and overall feel of the hostel, I would recommend it to others and stay there again when I next return to Copenhagen.

A pleasant stay

First of all I have to say it is a cosy hostel -- the staff is very nice and helpful, it's neat, and you can feel free to do whatever you want (use the internet, drink a lot of beer, relax with a good book). So nothing to complain about hospitality. I had chosen a good time to stay there (november), But there were still enough people that needed a bed, so there were a couple of people who snored a bit (or rather say, a lot and loud). This was no problem for me, because i had eardropps (you can buy them for ca. 2 crowns at the service desk) The only thing that i find rather disappointing was the smell in the ladies shower, de second stay (that was in another building, 2 min walking from the entrance). The rest was perfect for me. Although i can imagine that in springtime 2 computers can be annoying, because everybody would like to check their mail and stuff. All together i surely would stay here a next time!

Fair

A lot of whining going on here....

"It's noisy" - Whatya expect when you are staying in a dorm, everyone going to bed at the same time as yourself? Choose The Radison next time.

I've stayed at Sleep In Heaven 5-6 times, and I find it quite fair for the price payed. Sure, I have stayed in a lot better hostels for the same price (not in Cph though... but there are a lot worse ones... ), I find it

satisfying. Showers are a bit sparse, I'd give you that.. But that has never been a problem for me or my fellow travellers coz we are Swedes and just as the Icelandic guy, we go to bed late and get up late when out partying :-)

The old huge dorm is gone, but even that one wasn't too bad.

If you want 100 percent comfort and a guaranteed full nights sleep, stay at home!

We love Mary!

Beds were comfy, rooms were small, but what do you expect for that price? Toilets and showers were fine, just not many of them. Good location but hard to find, make sure you get explicit directions, about a twenty-minute walk to the centre of the city. Look out for the Mexican restaurant around the corner! Only problem was having to listen to the sounds of lovemaking in our tiny dorm. Otherwise good!

Ok, tiny rooms, tiny bathroom

This hostel has got to have the smallest rooms ever. I'm sure submarines aren't this cramped. There's no room to put your stuff, which become a major pain. Also there's two toilets and three showers for everyone. Lucky I get up earlier than most people! It's also twenty minutes' walk from town, which is ok but not great. On the plus side it was quite friendly and the staff were helpful.

I've stayed here twice, and both times it was awesome! The staff is friendly, the bar is good, and the beds are comfy. The only problem was the drunken Icelanders who stumbled in at four in the morning and started singing, but then again, we Icelanders have a reputation to live up to.

I liked the place. Sure, the rooms are small, but what are you looking for at that price? Friendly and helpful staff. Very international, fairly easy to find, decent location. four stars.

I stayed at Sleep-in Hostel in 2003 and found it to be pretty nice. I have heard it underwent renovation so it might or might not, depending on what was changed, have improved. When I first arrived I was surprised to find out that it was a huge room with like three hundred beds or so clustered into cubicles that made a room. Originally the place had been an old bread factory that they turned into a hostel. I did, however, manage to get some sleep and my stuff was not tampered with. The major drawback was using the bathroom in the morning and trying to shower -- huge lines of people waiting their turn. Best bet if you plan on using the shower is to wait until you arrive back in the evening when there is less demand for the shower. I did meet some really nice people there and shared some excellent stories. The bar area was really nice. It was also located in an interesting part of Copenhagen, the locals were extremely friendly, I met some locals with whom I travelled to Christiania with during the day. Also the hostel is pretty hidden, it took me awhile to find it, but once you find it you know where it is for the entire time you stay. All and all a pretty nice place, although don't know what it is like now, because I have heard that it changed.
