This is a popular stopover for walkers, mountaineers, and other outdoor types from all over. Smallish beds are comfortable. Rooms cleaned daily. Toilet/shower needed some maintenance: toilet stall door had a broken hinge. Small kitchen and TV/dining area that would be difficult to manage when the place is full. Responsive, helpful staff. Good security. Drying room for the drenched, handy in this part of the world. Easy to find from train and bus. Would stay here in the future.

Feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hostel.
Pleasant place, well-located, rooms are clean but small. Mostly older (30+) people staying there, as it's a popular weekend holiday town. Staff is helpful.

The Bank Street Lodge is a fairly clean and inexpensive way to explore the Highlands of Scotland. It is located in an ideal location. I was impressed by the comfort of the beds and TV room. The communal bathrooms were a little on the dirty side. Make sure you bring your provided towel back to your room when finished with a shower or you will have to pay for a new one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For people traveling on a budget this is a clean and cheap way to see Fort William and the Highlands.
The location is great and the bedrooms are very clean, as is the common room. The kitchen is a bit scarce on space and crockery/utensils, etc. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
