Very bad people!!!!!!! very not friendly!!!!!!

It happened on the 2nd Apr. The service person is a guy said because the room just one person used that was me, so I need to pay NZ$50 for one room. I can't believe it, just one people live this room it's not my fault!!! but I need to pay two people's price. very bad service!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I stayed several days in this fabulous hostel, excellent backpacker in the South Island of NZ. We decided to come back there by the End 2009 for at least one week. Willy and his crew are perfect hosts.

Nice place, no TV (a big plus in my book), helpful staff. The only complaint I have is that I got stuck in a room with three guys who stunk to high-heaven, staff came over took a sniff and found another spot for me, what more could you ask for? I'm going back again in a few weeks and will stay here once more.

If you have to be in Invercargill, this is the place to be (the hostel is better than the town). Very comfortable place. Great kitchen, featuring something I haven't seen anywhere else - a dishwasher. Also free Internet during the day, although on a slow connection.

Excellent place (I stayed in both houses on different trips). The staff are great; the kitchen is large and nice in the main building, but not the kitchen in the secondary building. Lounges are very cozy; rooms and beds are good. This is the best place to stay when you return from a long tramp on Stewart's Island.

Southern Comfort in Invercargill was the first hostel I stayed in on my three-month trip through New Zealand. I found it to be a very good hostel: clean, tidy, a very nice staff and good accommodations. Since I just came off an airplane (after flights that took more than 20 hours) the beds felt like heaven--and they still did after a few days! Overall: a great hostel, good location next to the park, and a nice and friendly staff. Excellent!
