Loved it
The hostel was very clean and loved the customer service. Room was reasonably large and the view from the hostel was breathtaking. The balcony of our room was an unexpected benefit. The other guests were also very friendly and I would definitely come back here again if I return to Switzerland. However, note that the local supermarket closes very early. Make sure your dinner ingredients are purchased ahead of time if you plan to cook.

Great Hostel
This hostel is easy to find, very close to the train station. The beds are comfortable, and some rooms have an amazing view of the waterfall and the mountains in the distance. There is a well equipped kitchen. The only downside is that there is not really a common area, apart from the dining room.

Great stay -- private room
The best thing about this hostel is the location -- right in the heart of the region with easy access via train, cable car! Great views from our room across the valley, could not have stayed in a more picturesque location. Everything was always clean and tidy. Could not find any major faults of the hostel -- fantastic place for all including families, couples and groups.

Brilliant location and clean facilities
Valley Hostel was fantastic. It was pristine and clean (like most things in Switzerland) and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen facilities were the best we used in Europe (although a nonstick pan wouldn't go astray). The view from the balcony outside our dorm was incredible and the location was magical. The toilets were annoyingly down a flight of stairs and the showers were those crappy push-button-timer ones. There was too many rules and not a lot of atmosphere as there were a lot of older travelers staying. But the hostel and facilities themselves were incredibly well maintained and the staff I found quite helpful. The owner was even nice enough to lend me a rainproof jacket for my hike! Thanks! Will stay here again if in Lauterbrunnen.

Great Place, Very New, Super Clean, Awesome Room
We stayed here in a private "Deluxe" 4-person room. The hostel has 2 buildings and the one we were in was built very recently. The view from the room was fantastic. There were 2 beds on the lower level, and 2 in an upper loft area; very cool. The showers were very nice, high-pressure and lots of hot water. There were separate sink-toilet rooms so waiting was never really an issue. The kitchen in our building was perfect for what we needed, since there were very few restaurants open at night in Lauterbrunnen. We stayed here very recently. The only downside was that it was still quite cold (4-5 deg C) and coming from southern Europe, we weren't quite prepared for that. I would recommend this place to anyone, families, couples, groups. It was fantastic.

Private room is very quite and clean. Staff is very helpful.
We only stayed one night. Staff gave us detail sightseeing information and answered all our questions clearly. She was very helpful. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Location is very close to west station.

Good location and the bed is clean. However, staff is not helpful and the kitchen is not big enough as there is not much choice to eat nearby at night so many people will choose to cook. Besides, only basement has bathroom is not convenient to us. By the way, the view is beautiful and the design of the hostel is quite special.

Excellent facilities and staff!!
My friend and I stayed in the hostel for three nights. It is located just next to the train station which makes it convenient for travelers. The beds are very comfortable and clean. I love its laundry room which prepares space for hand-washing and hanging of wet clothes. The kitchen is also big, clean, and user-friendly. Staffs are very helpful and friendly which certainly make our trip more enjoyable. It is super worthy to enjoy holidays with Valley hostel!!!
