Húsabakki is set in a stunning valley setting with mountains all around and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. One-site there is a children‘s playground, sports field, mini golf, meadow with a campfire, the bird exhibition ‘Birdland‘ and yoga facilities. Húsabakki is located on the edge of a wetland nature reserve with walking/hiking routes, educational trails, a barefoot path, canoeing and bird watching facilities only a few steps away.
In the surrounding area there are further opportunities for swimming, whale watching, sea angling, golfing, horse riding, backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering in winter, boat excursions to the islands of Hrísey and Grímsey and interesting museums.
