Good budget hostel
This hostel is located close to the entrance to the fort but off the Main Street (although during the day you can still hear traffic sounds and beeping).
The interior on the first floor is clean and modern looking. The bathrooms were very nice and clean as well unfortunately the toilet seats for the bathrooms are broken. This makes it hard to clean your bum because the spraying thing built into the seat doesn't work. There is no toilet paper or trash can in the bathroom either. There were TVs in all the rooms, but I wasn't sure if they were functioning. There are also hot water heaters in the bathrooms for showering as well. The ground floor consists of a reception desk and a hallway with rooms on either side.
At the time of writing, the second floor has a large room with a dirt floor that needs work done for it, and opposite the hall from it is a common space furnished with a couple couches and cushions. The rooftop, for being outside the fort, has a fairly decent view both of the fort and of the surrounding streets. However the rooftop terrace is pretty vacant and ugly save for one small table and some plant starts.
Like most hostels in India, the staff members sleep in the hostel in the public spaces at night, which can make morning or evening lounging awkward at times.
Also, around 7 in the morning, there were staff talking loudly in the lobby. I'm not sure if they were waking up guests that were going on a desert safari or just making noise for some reason. There is fairly good sound insulation in the rooms, but if you were a light sleeper, you would be woken up. At night there were also dogs barking in the street, although they were quite muffled.
Hopefully in the future the upper level and rooftop will be renovated and furnished fully, and the early morning noise won't be as prominent, but as it is currently, this hostel is a pretty good deal for the money
