It's a really nice Hostel, with a really hospitable owner -- he even brought my broken shoes to fix them to get a better price.
Expect to stay longer than planned
When you first arrive at Sunny Lake, don't be worried about it being up the hill or seeming to be far from the center. It is not. I came by cab, and the way we came gave me no clue about how very close the hostel was to everything. The vibe at this hostel is chill and the people that stayed there were all chill and friendly as well. This is largely in part due to the chill nature of the owners, Jyoko (spelling??) and Nino. They are very helpful, friendly, and mellow. The rooms all have lockers, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is traditional and local. If I had one complaint, it might be that the rooms could use a ceiling fan. But then, I have fond many hostels in the Balkans to neglect this need. I would definitely recommend the hostel.

Friendly Hostel.
Top class hostel and the owner Jock is very friendly and very helpful. Great place to chill out and spend time seeing this lovely area.
Excellent hostel
The hostel is situated in a silent back-street in the old town. In my experience it's one of the most luxurious hostels I've been in (expect for the regular lack of hot water and tap pressure -- but who needs that in Macedonian summers?). Staff was really helpful and the atmosphere was superb.

This is one of the best hostels I've ever been to -- great views, great fun, and really comfortable beds. Definitely worth the trip from Skopje!
