Horrible Stay -- Horrible Staff
Stay was unfriendly and unhelpful. Rooms were overpriced and didn't lock. Party outside door to room with a DJ until 3 am. Worst hostel experience I have ever had and I've stayed in hostels in 30+ countries. Do not stay here!!!!

Party Hostel
I just returned from a trip to Uruguay and Argentina and stayed in 8 private room hostels, all for around $100/night throughout both countries. The only hostel I'm giving a poor review to is El Viajero La Padrera Hostel. I've traveled extensively around the world and have always stayed in hostels. To sum up a very bad experience: Staff: Unhelpful and in fact, quite rude. Cleanliness: Poor at best. Our shower leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom as there was no working drain. We also had bugs in our room. Safety: Our room had a sliding door in the back adjoining the woods and had no working lock. When we asked for a room that locked, we were laughed at by a very young employee who lectured us on what it means to "travel" and were made to feel like we were being difficult. We never did get a room that locked. They had no lockers and no safe boxes, but stored bags in a dirty broom closet that everyone had access to. Comfort: We paid for private rooms in hopes of quiet and comfort on a long trip. This hostel had incredibly loud parties equipped w/DJ's and large speakers literally outside of our door until 3am. When asked what time the party would end and if they wouldn't mind turning it down we were laughed at by a very intoxicated manager. I hope this review is helpful for travelers looking for rest over all night partying.
