The hotel manager was absolutely charming. He did everything he could to accommodate my needs especially regarding having a safe in the room. He supplied all sort of information I needed: nearest supermarket (cheap one), bus timetables, where I could get a good deal on the beach as the beaches nearby were private (which I didn't know and was a big surprise), he gave leaflats on all sort of activities going on in Viareggio, he would chat to us everymorning what was nice and gave me an opportunity to learn some Italian.

Hostel situated centrally in resort. Both bedding and towels of high cleanliness.Breakfast more than adequate. Owner very helpful and polite as were rest of the staff.

• From the airport in Pisa : enter the motorway a/12 , direction Genova, or direct bus for Viareggio-Pietrasanta (vaibus).• Exit at the Viareggio/Camaiore toll station.
• From motorway a/12***, exit Viareggio/Camaiore:
• Follow the sign from Viareggio; turn right at exit Viareggio-marco polo/pretura;
• at stop turn right; at the 3° traffic light turn left;
• you stay in promenade on the sea:
• now at 3° small-cross turn left and you find Hotel Belvedere.
• Private parking nearby our hotel.
• check-in starting from 11.00 a.m.
• the train station is 600m back from the seafront. buses (lazzi, cat and clap) stop nearer hotel.;
