Hotel Pension Rea, Heraklion

We had an awesome 1 night stay at hotel Rea. Staff were lovely and booked us a taxi to the airport in the morning. Place was clean and exactly what we needed for the night.

Perfect location near the heart of Heraklion, Hotel Rea was the ideal place to end my trip around Crete. I was feeling a bit unwell and all the stores were already closed when we arrived, but the receptionist offered to make me a cup of tea which really helped. Everything was explained clearly and conveniently. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

We loved our stay at Hotel Rea! It is a super cute hotel in a great location, close to the water and to the center of Heraklion. Our room for three people was a little tight but the room was really clean and we felt like we got more than we paid for. The staff was super nice too and we were able to store out bags after check-out.

Everything was perfect for our one-night stay! Very easy booking/check-out process. Staff was very nice and it was in a good quiet area! Walking distance to a very yummy cafe on the water.

The best thing about this hotel is that its very close to the city centre and the marina as well.

Its very quiet when you enter the hotel so if youre looking for a vibrant atmosphere Hotel Pension Rea might not be for you.

The room itself was lovely and clean but the only thing that bothered us was the fact that people from the street were walking right past our window and if someone reached their hand in, they could easily enter.

Otherwise it was a good experience all in all.

Good position in capital for max two nights stay.

The staff is very helpful. The location is perfect if you want to know Heraklion, but if you intend to visit west part of the island, its better to stay in Chania. The only problem is the shower.

Good no frills accommodation. Short walk to everything you need. Safe neighbourhood. Staff were excellent, friendly and very helpfull.

It was very cold, the showers and bathroom was always wet since it is tiny so when someone showers water gets everywhere. The owner is very helpful and so is his son. It wasn't located far from the bus stop but it was not as easy to get around. The rooms were clean and bright but at night it was kind of a scary area to walk home.

Nice, clean, and inexpensive. Not a place to hang out; a bit of a walk from other places, but still walkable. Helpful staff. I would recommend it!
