Unique amongst the hostels in Florence, Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is only a few minutes from the historic areas of San Frediano and Santo Spirito and can easily be reached from the train station, Santa Maria Novella (approx. 15 minutes on foot without luggage).
All our rooms are private, provided with private bathroom, shower and AC (not included in the rate).
At YHF2000 there is no curfew but you MUST check-in by 7:30pm.
BEFORE YOU BOOK A ROOM PLEASE NOTE
1) Check-in from 2pm to 7:30pm.
Reception is CLOSED from 7:30pm to 7:00am. When closed we do NOT check guests in. If for unexpected events you are not able to check-in by 7:30pm you MUST call us before 7:30pm. If (and only if) one of us is available we will check you in BUT you will be charged the late check-in fee which depends on your arrival time (15-25 euros). If none of us is available to check you in after 7:30pm we will charge on your credit card the first night of stay.
2) Check-out is by 9:30am on departure date
3) We accept guests younger than 18 years old only if they are with their parents or on a school trip.
4) Guests will be asked to respect our house rules: no alcohol drinking is accepted in the Hostel, penalty if you lose the electronic key we will give to you to access the hostel, it's forbidden to bring inside the hostel people who are not sleeping in the hostel.
5) We accept payments with credit / debit card only if the expense is 60 euros or more

FEATURES: all rooms are PRIVATE (at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we don't have rooms to share) and all are provided with private bathroom and shower. We have single rooms, double rooms, triple rooms, rooms with 4 and 5 beds.
LOCATION: Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is located in the HISTORICAL CENTRE OF FLORENCE (San Fediano area) at 10 minutes on foot from the main railway station (SMN).
CHECK-IN: Check-in from 2:00pm to 7:30pm Reception is closed from 7:30pm to 7:00am (that's to say from 19:30 to 7:00) and during this time we don't check-in.
NO CURFEW: after 7:30pm you will enter Youth Firenze 2000 using your keys!
AIR CONDITIONING: available at a small additional cost (3,50 euros per person per night in single, double and twin room; 2,50 euros per person per night in triple, rooms with 4 and 5 beds).
BLANKETS AND TOWELS: blankets, towels and sheets are provided by Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 and rooms are cleaned daily.
INTERNET facilities (Wi-Fi): at guests' disposal at small additional costs (10minuts=1,00 euros; 30 minutes= 2,50 euros; 1 hour= 4,50 euros; 2 hours= 8 euros; 5 hours= 19,00 euros).
LAUNDRY= 5 euros, detergent included (no dryer available but open air racks available)
BREAKFAST: at Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 we DON'T SERVE breakfast but from 7:00 to 9:30 we OFFER muffins and plumcakes and guests can have hot beverages from a vending machine for 0,50 euros. It's not something to wrote home about but it's something to start with!
LUGGAGE STORAGE: free at arrival (if you arrive before 2:00pm and your room is not ready yet!) and free at departure! (MIND THAT RECEPTION CLOSES AT 7:30pm).
PARKING LOT: As far as parking it's concerned, we have 1 parking lot and the rates are euro 10,00 (small cars such as a Nissan Micra) and euro 15,00 (big cars). It is NOT possible to book a parking place in advance but let us know if you are interested in it. We remind you that the car parked inside Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is not allowed neither to exit neither to enter between 20:00 and 7:00 that is during the Reception closing time. Close to us there is a private garage open from 7:00 in the morning to 2:00 in the night, but it's a bit expensive (about 20,00/25,00 euros per day). By the way please consider that in the avenue we are located there are many parking places (some for free and some at a charge).

• Which is the shortest way on foot from the train station of Santa Maria Novella to Youth Hostel Firenze 2000?
• Being inside the train station and having the trains behind your shoulder, choose the exit at your right, down the stairs and cross the street. Turn left and go ahead up to you enter in Via S.ta Caterina da Siena. As soon as you arrive at the traffic light turn right in Via della Scala, and immediately at left entering Via dell’Albero. Go straight in Via M Finiguerra, Via Melegnano and cross the bridge Vespucci. Keep going straigth in Via Sant’Onofrio, then turn right in Borgo San Frediano. Pass under the very big and ancient door and go ahead along Via Pisana up to you enter Piazza Pier Vettori. Here turn left and you’ll find Via R. Sanzio. We are on the opposite footstep. You’ll see our white sign at number 16. It seems to be hard but you need only 10 minutes
• Which bus can I catch to get to Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 from the train station (SMN)?
• Being inside the train station and having the trains behind your shoulder, choose the exit at your left, cross the street and catch bus number 12 (the bus stop is in front of you). Ask the driver to show you the first bus stop after Piazza Pier Vettori. The bus way lasts approximately 15 minutes and the bus stop you have to choose is called Sanzio 1. As soon as you get off the bus here we are, at number 16!
