Divanga Bed & Breakfast is a relaxing spot set back from Taganga's main beach. The hostel atmosphere is lacking, but it has good facilities and a pool.
The Location
The hostel is located around a ten-minute walk from the bus drop-off on the edge of Taganga town. It's around a ten-minute walk from the hostel to the beach and there is a convenience store directly opposite the hostel. Taganga is known for robberies and there are warnings at check-in on what streets around the hostel are dangerous at night. There is another Divanga hostel located just down the road and guests from that hostel can also use the pool facilities at this hostel.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms in the hostel are very cramped and do not have a lot of floor space for bags if all beds are occupied. There are fans in the room which you can turn on and off at the wall and the rooms also have lockers for each guest. The bunk beds are quite high and there are only two power sockets in a four-person room.
The bathrooms are reasonably clean and are mostly quite spacious. The water is cold and the water pressure is decent. There is no soap in some of the dispensers of different bathrooms.
Common Spaces
The hostel has varied common spaces spread out across the hostel. The area by reception has lots of wooden seating, and this is where the restaurant based out of the hostel serves their food. The reception itself has a lot of information and booklets on what to do in Taganga. Right by reception is a TV and computer space with some books and a comfy sofas.
There are a few hammocks, but these are often occupied, as the area around the pool is quite small. There are also some lounge chairs around the pool.
There is a bar area up some stairs, which has a great view of Taganga. The bar doesn't appear particularly lively, but it has a good layout. There is another area upstairs which has a small kitchen and some seating which also has a great view of Taganga. The hostel isn't overly social and so it may be difficult to meet other travelers.
Summary
The hostel atmosphere is definitely lacking and there are closer hostels to the beach, but this one has generally good facilities and a nice pool.

• From the bus terminal 2 options:
• - Bus to Taganga go down 2 blocks past the health center, then go up to the right, the charge is 2.000 pesos for you and same for your luggage and it takes one hour
• - taxi from the terminal. straight to the hotel 2 blocks after health center go one block up to the right charges 20.000. it takes 15 minutes approx. from 3 to 4 people (depending size of luggage)
• -Taxi from the airport charges 45.000 pesos. 40 minutes ride
