Tynnøl Backpackers Lodge is a small hostel on a cattle farm in Lesja in the beautiful Gudbrandsdalen valley. We can offer simpel budget accomodation, with good athmosphere instead of luxury. At Tynnøl you sleep in an old timber storehouse in the farm yard. We have 12 beds devided into two rooms, as well as tent sites. Kitchen, shower and WC is in the basement of the farm's main building. Self-catering. Bed linen and towels available at extra cost. There are outdoor barbeque facilities. Your host family may invite you to take part in the farm work (then you can stay for free).

Tynnøl Backpackers Lodge is in the heart of the National park region in the norwegian mountains. The lodge is situated 3 km west of Lesja centre, 20 km west of Dombås. Train station at Lesja centre. Train from Oslo or Trondheim to Dombås, change to train for Åndalsnes, stop at Lesja station. A 3 km walk westwards along the main road, and You will see our sign "Tynnøl". Nor-Way Bussekspress from Oslo or Ålesund/Molde (Dag- og natt-ekspressen) to bus stop "Prestløkken" 300 m from Tynnøl. Follow the signs down to the farm.
