Eastern Finland Sports Institute's hostel is an excellent place to stay in the middle of Joensuu. Because of its quiet location it's ideal for families with children. Accommodation is provided to lone travellers, families, and groups.
There are 24 cosy and practical rooms in one or two bedroom apartments. Every apartment has a bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen, internet access and TV, which ensure you feel at home even during a longer stay. The equipment in the kitchen/kitchenette includes a fridge, a coffee maker, an electric cooker, a microwave oven, and tableware. Each bedroom has two beds and a TV.
There is a playground for children in the hostel backyard, and you can borrow books, toys and plays from the bookshelf downstairs. Our rates include bed linen, towels and sauna. Entrance to the gym is free of charge. We have free parking in the backyard for cars, buses can be parked on the street.

Location
Finnhostel Joensuu is located near the town centre. The hostel reception is in the hostel building at Kalevankatu 5b. From Joensuu railway station (about 2 kilometres / 1.2 miles) to the hostel you can get, for example, on foot, walking along the beautiful river Pielisjoki. Joensuu airport is about 10 kilometres (6.5 miles) away and you can travel the distance either by airport bus, which takes you to the market place, or by taxi. From the market place you can take a local bus to the hostel.
