• From Colombo – approx 195 km
• • Take the AB10 to Avissawela
• • Continue through Ratnapura through Pelmadulla to Udawalawe Junction take left
• • Passing the Udawalawe Park continue on the Tanamalwila road
• • After the 28th km post turn left at 17 ½ mile post (Hambegamuwa/Balangoda board in Sinhalese)
• • Passing temple on right continue to T- Junction, turn left and continue for 12 kms, until you reach 24th km post (landmark you will pass Arambekema Temple, after which, look out for the lake on right)
• • Turn right opposite 24th km post (called Thuparama junction) on to gravel road (other land mark- after lake there is a concrete brick wall along which is dirt road)
• • Go to the end of road to lake to find Banyan Camp
• From Galle – approx 154 km
• • Take the Southern Expressway to Matara
• • Turn left on the B275 to Hakmana to Walasmulla to Middeniya
• • Turn right at 13th Mile post junction on the Thanamalwila Road
• • After the 28th km post turn left at 17 ½ mile post (Hambegamuwa/Balangoda board in Sinhalese)

• •Take the A23 to Wellawaya
• •Take slight right to A2
• •Just before Uva Kuda Oya 293 km post turn right at Balaharuwa Junction
• •After approximately 10 km turn left at Y junction (school at junction)
• •After 10 km at T junction turn right
• • Continue until you reach 24th km post (landmark you will pass Arambekema Temple, after which, look out for the lake on right)

• From Arugambay – approx 160 km
• •Take the A4 through Siyambalanduwa, Monaragala, Buttala
• •Turn left onto Wellawaya by pass
• •Turn left onto A2 towards Wellawaya – Thanamalwilla road
• •Just before Uva Kuda Oya 293 km post turn right at Balaharuwa Junction
