Once you get off the plane you have two options on how to get to Soul Travellers Guesthouse and Canyoneering and begin enjoying the best of South Cebu. Private transport or public transport. Because traffic and congestion is a problem in Cebu city and it can be a tiring experience waiting for and taking a bus, we recommend that you take a taxi directly to us. A taxi ride directly from the airport ranges from 4,000 - 6000 pesos. While private transport is expensive when compared to public transport, it will get you to the province quickly and comfortably and you can start enjoying the peace and beauty right away. If you are a group or family travelling together it is definitely the way to go! For budget minded travelers we recommend that you get to us by bus. You can take a taxi from the airport to the bus station for about 420 pesos. You want to go to the Cebu South Bus terminal. From there you can either take a Librando Bus or a Ceres bus VIA Barili/ Bato from Cebu. Tell the driver to STOP 7ELEVEN BADIAN. The bus ride costs only 200-280pesos. (Cheaper, no aircon, more expensive aircon, but just take the first one available because another may not leave for a long time!) Librando bus services stops running at 8p.m, while Ceres bus services runs from inside Cebu City from 1;00 am to 10:00p.m. In the province the Ceres bus runs from 2:00 am to 7:00p.m. Travel time is normally between 2.5 to 5 hours depending on traffic conditions, time of day, weather and road conditions. Directions once the bus/taxi has entered/exited town of Moalboal. When you get to Moalboal, you will know you are in Moaboal because there is a large Shopping Mall called Gaisano off to your left (if coming from Cebu City) and there is a highly visible McDonalds on the ground floor, Once the bus has left Moalboal there will be more room on the bus and you should get up, move towards the front and let the Ticket attendant and Bus driver know that you are stopping at 'Badian, 7 Eleven.' Once the bus exits Moalboal we are only 9.5km away. We are correctly and accurately located on GOOGLE MAPS GPS, so it should be very easy to find us. Stop at the 7ELEVEN in the town of BADIAN, which is across from a large sports complex and public market. Motorbike drivers are waiting off to the right of where the bus will stop, across from the 7 Eleven and next to on of the local bakeries. The normal charge is 50 pesos per person. Also just behind the waiting motorbike taxi drivers are the more comfortable Tricycles, a motorcycle with a side car. The standard charge is 100pesos for two people. I would not be worried if they charge a bit more if for instance you are a particularly large person and have many bags. Or, if it is really late or really early. You can also contact us and we can arrange a tricycle ride for you. Although there are in many places not a lot of lights and it is definitely not 1st world standards, this area is extremely safe and the people nice to the extreme, so don't worry too much if you get turned around or have trouble getting here, it is all part of the adventure! If you are really cheap or just love fitness and dont mind sweaty clothes, you can easily walk from where the Bus drops you all the way to Soul Travellers in about 20 minutes. During the day it is a lovely stroll with a small little river crossing and tumbling vines of flowers. Sometimes you will see a lazy water buffalo lounging in the water or being walked down the street next to you! Those are the local tractors for farming! Dont get near any of the large cows, even the babies, they are a bit wild and do kick, not like western milk cows at all.
