Auberge C'mon Inn Hostel is a cute, quirky hostel located in Moncton's downtown area. The hostel is in an old, wooden building, with a nice balcony seating area, and great communal areas for chilling out, and is located on a quiet road in downtown Moncton.
It's ideally located close to the bus and train station, and not too far from the trans-Canada highway and road to and from Hopewell Rocks, and the Bay of Fundy. The Main Street is a couple of minutes' walk from the hostel, and has many restaurants, bars, and cafes, as well as a good local brewery. Sobey's Supermarket is also within a couple of minutes' walk.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel offers both dorm rooms and private rooms. Dorm rooms include a mixed-gender room and a female-only dorm. Dorms contain bunk beds. The beds are quite hard, and blankets are thin, but the hostel does have central heating for the colder months. There are lockers in the dorm room (though not enough for every person). Private rooms include a semi-private room with shared bathroom, and a private room with en suite. Both rooms types contain a double bed. All bedrooms come with linen.
All dorm rooms have shared bathrooms, outside the room. Bathrooms include a shower, with hot water, basin, and toilet. There is a "communal toiletries cupboard" in the bathroom, which offers free toiletries for use. The hostel also offers the use of towels for free. There are hooks and railings in the bathroom, and plenty of space to get changed.
The hostel has several floors, with common spaces on each floor. There are two well-equipped, communal kitchens, with ovens, microwaves, toasters, and kettles. There is also a very extensive spices cabinet, which guests are free to use. Tea and coffee are complimentary throughout the day.
There is a computer area, where you are free to use the computer. Good Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hostel. There are two TV rooms with plenty of seating, as well as a balcony area with outdoor seating.
The hostel has plenty of information about activities in Moncton and the surrounding areas, including some very good maps and tidal charts. There is also a very book exchange and plenty of games to play if it's raining, or if you want to chill out in the evening. There isn't a luggage storage area, but the hostel is happy for you to leave bags in the front room either before or after check in/out. There are self-laundry services available are a reasonable additional cost. Onsite parking is also available at the hostel.
The hostel is designed to be very social, with plenty of opportunities to meet other guests. At the same time, there is a quiet time after 11 p.m., which means no risk of being kept up by "party animals."
This hostel is a great value for money, centrally located, and has a great vibe! It is a nice place to base yourself while exploring the city or to spend a few days relaxing in one of the many common areas.

The C'mon Inn feels less like a hostel and more like your rich, hip cousins have invited you to stay in their big, gorgeous house while you backpack across New Brunswick. The hostel just opened in May, 2006, and the owners are off to a fantastic start. The rooms are captivatingly decorated by owners who have obviously done their fair share of travelling.
The price for a night's stay is reasonable and includes sheets to go on one of the beds in their somewhat haphazard collection (our room had one bed that was just a mattress on the floor, and another bed on wheels!). There are also high school-esque lockers to store your belongings in. And, of course, your cool cousins impose no curfew. They'll give you a key to the front door so you can come and go as you please.
The comfy lounge area features a stock of DVDs and board games for your entertainment. It also has a computer with free internet access and a phone you can use for local calls. And the clean and beautiful bathroom features the largest shower stall you will ever see in a hostel, we guarantee it! Those with allergies beware -- there is a cat on the premises.
