• By Road - From Sydney you can travel to Kangaroo Valley through either the Southern Highlands, or take the coastal route.
• To get to Kangaroo Valley via the Southern Highlands, join the M5
• motorway in Sydney. This road becomes the Hume Highway south of
• Sydney. Take the Mittagong exit off the Hume and follow the main road
• through both Mittagong and Bowral, following signs to Nowra. At the
• intersection of the Illawarra Highway go straight through heading for
• Fitzroy Falls. When the road comes to a "T" intersection turn left, then just follow the road through Fitzroy Falls and onwards to Kangaroo Valley.
• To get to Kangaroo Valley via the coast, join the F6 Freeway south of
• Sydney. This road later becomes the Princes Highway. Follow the signs for Nowra. This route will take you down the coast past Kiama. Just after the town of Berry, turn right onto Kangaroo Valley Road and follow this to its end and then turn right. You are now on the road to Kangaroo Valley.
• By Public Transport - Kangaroo valley isn't very accessible by public
• transport - it really is the kind of place where you need your own vehicle. There is a private bus company that operate a coach service from Sydney to Kangaroo Valley, every day except Saturdays. They are Priors Scenic Express, and they can be contacted on 1800 816 234. The cost for adults is approximately $20 one way. They pick up from Parramatta, Liverpool and Campbelltown. Other than this you can catch the train to either Bomaderry (near Nowra) train station on the South coast, or Bowral train station in the Southern Highlands, but unfortunately there aren't any connecting buses From those stations.
