• Secreto hostel is on the Rosario Islands, approximately 42 km away from Cartagena.
• TRANSPORT TO THE ISLAND
• To arrive in Secreto you will travel by boat for about 1h from Cartagena. Mary Cartagena Travel is the transport company that we recommend as they have outstanded from the others that have often shown irregularities. The boats to the island fill up fast, so we recommend booking until 06:00 pm one day before your departure to secure a spot.
• The departure point is the BODEGUITA Pier in Cartagena. We ask you to be there before 08:30 am to GATE #1. The entrance tax to the pier is $23.000 COP; Mary Cartagena Travel official, who only speaks spanish). In return you will get a ticket, with which you can enter the dock.
• The $80.000 COP one way transport fee will be payed in Secreto's Reception on the island. Please note that luggage on the boat is limited to 15kg (overweight luggage will cost $20,000 COP extra). Before showing you to the boat, a photo of your passport will be taken and sent to reception to speed up the check in process.
• The boat will try to drop you off directly at Secreto as often as possible. Unfortunately it is not always possible because of weather or low tides, you may be dropped off at a nearby dock. If this is the case, a guide will pick you up and bring you to us (5-10 min walk).
• If you choose another boat company and you are not dropped off at the correct stop or other complications arise, Secreto staff will not be able to help you.
