Backpackers and travelers is a new hostel opened in June 2019 in the old historic city center. The hostel is located in the Jewish quarter of the city, 500m from the bus station, and dates back to the 18th century. It was completely renovated in 2015, with respect for the preservation of the architectural elements of the time.
100 meters from the building is the castle of the town with its traditional houses, the Museum of Artistic Crafts, the Byzantine Museum, the Fetiche Mosque and the Synagogue. 200 meters is the lake of the city with the harbor where boats every hour you can visit the only lake in Europe that is inhabited.
Only 200 meters from the hostel there is a bar street (food, coffee, drink and clubbing). Backpackers and travelers have mixed dorm rooms available.

Location
From the bus station, step out of the main entrance and take the Avenue Georgiou Papandreou. You will find the hostel after about 10 minutes just going on straight. So , go straight ahead and after 5 minutes the Avenue Georgiou Papandreaou changes its name to Kountouriotou street. Just after the crossing of the Averof Street, keep on strait to Giosef Eligia Street. We are just there on number 15 on your left hand.
