Location and Contact

Location

• By car:
• The Venice area can be easily reached by car; we would suggest you drop your car in Mestre. Heading towards Venice from Mestre, you'll cross the Ponte della Libertà Bridge connecting the city to the mainland. You will have to park your car at Piazzale Roma as once in Venice you will have to either walk or take water buses (vaporetti). Use one of the paying garages (Garage San Marco, the garage of the municipality of Venice or the Tronchetto parking lot; this latter can be reached making a right turn soon after crossing the Ponte della Libertà bridge, right before getting to Piazzale Roma) of the city. But the best and truly cost-effective solution is parking your car in one of the parking lots at the entrance of the Ponte della Libertà bridge (is Mestre) or next to the Mestre train station, in which case you would then have to catch a train to Venice. When you arrive in Venice you will have to either walk or take water buses (vaporetti). To reach the residence we suggest you to take the water-buses, the typical means of transportation of Venice. You can take the line number 1 or number 2, direction 'San Marco'.You have to get off at the boat stop named 'San Marco - Vallaresso' (see map).If you get off at Rialto the B&B is only at 5 minutes walking. In the ACTV website you can find all useful information to organize your transports.

• By plane:
• Should you land in Venice, you can take a bus from Marco Polo Airport right to the city. ACTV bus (orange buses) n. 5 and n. 15 shall take you to Piazzale Roma in about 30 minutes; the ticket is 1.00 euro; you’ll have to purchase an additional ticket for any carried on piece of luggage; ATVO buses (blue buses) shall take you to Piazzale Roma in 20 minutes for the price of 3.00 euros with no additional charges; or you may want to take a taxi; you can also take a water taxi; this will take you to your final destination in about 30 minutes; finally, you can take an ALILAGUNA private water bus (blue line, San Marco stop; tickets are 5.00 euros with no additional charges). From Sant’Angelo (Treviso) airport you can take Basiq-Air or Ryanear buses. The transfer shall take about 50 minutes. When you arrive in Venice you will have to either walk or take water buses (vaporetti). To reach the residence we suggest you to take the water-buses, the typical means of transportation of Venice. • By ship:
• If you are lucky enough to get to Venice by sea, you can easily reach the city center by the private water shuttle service called Alilaguna going between the port (stazione marittima) and Saint Mark. Tickets are 5.00 euros. Stops are at Tronchetto, San Basilio, Zattere, Stazione marittima or Riva dei Sette Martiri, this latter in the Castello district.
