Abyss Hostel, Koh Tao

• Taxi:
• Once you are on koh tao, the easiest way to reach us is via taxi from the main pier, you can get a ride for 100 baht, if you wait a bit for fellow travellers to share the taxi with you, which should take no more than 5 minutes.
• We are located right in the heart of sairee beach village, so ask for Abyss Hostel, or Brother restaurant which is just next door and you’ll be drop just next to us.
• Walking:
• If you wish to walk it will take approximately 30 mins and the beach road is the most pleasant route - you will arrive at one of three piers in Mae Haad, depending on the boat company you’ll travel with (Lomprayah, Seatran or Songserm). With the sea on your left walk until you see Planet Scuba, Safety Stop or Dive Supply (all located on the corner of the down road in Mae Haad). Once there walk up the road approximately 50m and take the turning on the left between Cafe del Sol and the Jamahkiri booking office. Keep walking along that road all the way until the end at Indie Cafe/Diza Bar in Sairee. At the end (in front of Indie Cafe) turn right and walk up to the main road and continue straight across (with 7/11 behind you and The Brother on your right hand side). We will be just here on the left side of the road.
• If you want to walk along the main road continue up the hill in Mae Haad from 7/11 or Dive Supply/Planet Scuba. At the top turn left and keep walking until you reach Sairee - past 4P supermarket, and Sairee Sairee restaurants. Once at 7/11 and The Brother turn right and we're approximately 50m up on the left hand side.
• Motorbike:
• You can rent a motorbike close the PIER, we recommend RPM motorbike, PONG motorbike and Olie’s Motorbike company, they will charge you between 250 and 400 baht per day. Then drive up to sairee crossroad, we are just at the beginning of the hin wong bay road on the left opposite Brother Restaurant.
• By Boat:
• The Only way to reach Koh Tao, unless you are the princess of Thailand and you have your own helicopter, is by boat.
• Dayly Ferries:
• There are 3 ferry companies that can take you here, from mainland « CHUMPHON » and « SURAT THANI » or from the other island close by « KOH SAMUI » and « KOH PHANGAN », those ferry companies are , Lomprayah, Seatran and Songserm. Lomprayah is the most reliable one and you can book online www.lomprayah.com, songserm is the cheapest one.
• Night Boats:
• There are few night boat ferries with bunkbeds that can take you from Surat Thani and Chumphon, they leave between 10 and 11pm, and get you to Koh Tao around 6-7am. There quite cheap and confortable ), you can book online the one from surat thani which offer a pick up to the airport. Check online Suratthani Airport TJ Night Boat To Koh Tao. Otherwise you can book them with any travel agency once you arrive to Chumphon or Surat Thani, or by going to the night boat pier straight away.

• You can get a bus, plane or train to CHUMPHON or SURAT THANI and then take a plane the ferry or night boat to Koh Tao.
• From Airport:
• You can get to koh tao only by boat, the closest airport you can come from are located in Surat Thani, Chumphon and Koh Samui, from these airport you can get a shuttle bus to one of the boat pier to get to Koh Tao, just chekc out Lomprayah, Seatran and Songserm ferry companies, so you know there schedule. • From Train Station:
• The closest Train Station are located in Chumphon or Surat Thani, from there you can get a taxi or shuttle bus transfer to go to the closest ferry pier to go to koh tao. It take about 30 minutes.
